I mean in the gears series humanity is hanging on by a thread There's literally a handful of humans left in a few small areas. Plus they don't have anywhere near the firepower of anything the UNSC has. They don't even have straight winged jets. They don't stand a chance in this one lol. That being said, to all the people saying their chainsaws would bounce off Spartans, have you seen the armor gears wear? Their chainsaws cut through it like it's not even there and that shit looks built outta concrete. If their chainsaws can cut through that thick ass stuff I think they can cut through spartan armor

All COGS vs spartans? [spoiler]my 2nd reply[/spoiler] I'm sorry...but i still think spartans. Yes. A whole planet of cogs....vs a few hundred super soldiers made to face just that. Spartan IIs: not only is their armor superior to the other spartan types, but they run faster than normal humans(cog soldier) have split second reaction time, and much faster processing speed. Its not just an army. Its the training and tech. Hammer of dawn. Yes. But the requirements to set that up would take time. Outside, satellite positioning, and charge up time. Spartans have active camo, armor abilities and high tech weapons. Remember: logically, a well trained army....or rather, a small army of augmented, well trained super soldiers will outclass even a planet's worth of cog. The cog has numbers yes, but the spartans have reflexes, processing speed, and vastly superior training. As well as being made to TAKE on armies. As stated, i understand the cog have numbers, but that's literally one of what? 3 things they have? Vs the spartans? 3's aren't much. But the 2's and 4's would have a much better chance. Tactics, training, augmentation, technology. You must take in all facts, not just how many of each side there is. If you say cog wins simply due to numbers, you're no better than those rabid halo fanboys who claim a spartan is invincible. There would be casualties on both sides. But in a full scale war, spartans win due to superior training, tech, tactics and weaponry. Its not a contest of numbers, its a question of how long it would take for the side with superior training to win.

Spartans import a single flood spore to their planet, wait a month or two and everyone with be dead

I like Gears much more than Halo, but all they got is the Hammer of Dawn. They'd get rekt within 3 days by the Spartans. Though I know a squad of Gears would beat a single Spartan.
