People will be back to Destiny soon enough. Don't get me wrong, it looks cool.
But it does NOT replace the things people love about destiny.
Of course there will be the classic Destiny bashers that disagree but I don't see it so far....

7 RepliesThe story mission and side quest were fantastic. I loved that aspect of the game. The Dark Zone, however, was not fulfilling. I don't know what the production version will add, but hopefully it gives that point of the game a lot more direction. One point I can strongly agree with is the tension. You never know what another player is/will do. I learned my lesson immediately. I ran into the subway tunnels, found a rogue agent and a non-rogue agent, alone at the back of the tunnels. Doing my civic duty, I proceeded to kill the rogue agent. Only to be assassinated by the non-rogue agent. Also, yes, extraction points can become extremely tense, especially once the extraction is active. For example, a team of three joined my team of three waiting for an extraction. On a whim we decided to take them out. We waited until the chopper was hovering and took out our assigned players, snagged up their loot, and quickly extracted it. We survived long enough to successfully extract the loot. I believe we then dug into the spot to survive our rogue timer and ended up getting ambushed by that same fireteam. We took them out again, and some others that came, and quickly pulled out. We found a building to hide in but ended up getting overwhelmed by adds that were lurking inside. By that point, we had built up a 4 minute timer so really our chances for survival were super slim anyway. That was really the most excitement we had. Hunting rogues, or going rogue. There wasn't really much else to do in the DZ. I'll be getting the game, but I'm hoping that DZ quests are a thing. It's going to be tough to run a quest out there, then get shot down by rogue agents, only to have to do the quest again. But hey, that may very well be a fun/rewarding gameplay loop. We'll have to wait and see. One significant point I'd like to leave off with: after the Beta, I'm switching to a base game pre-order, down from the Gold edition. I'll be happy to pay for the season pass if the production version surprises me. But for now I can't justify the $100.

4 RepliesI would like to see destiny adopt a darkness zone in certain areas of patrol that would be awesome
-
2 RepliesGuess like you, I'm eager to see if there's a game that will take me away from destiny entirely... Division was a great beta, just worried about the end game content...
-
1 ReplyCover mechanic shooters get boring very quickly imo so from what I've seen without playing it yet I don't believe it will suck me in.

15 RepliesI'm gonna get it, I just don't get the dark zone side implementation. From what I'm hearing, the best stuff comes from DZ, which essentially means forced PvP. If that's true, they're limiting themselves player wise, as most people would rather PvP as an option, and certainly don't want to lose items, especially when it's relatively easy to get killed by other players. I was shooting at a rogue this morning when another guy steps into my line of fire, causing me be flagged and promptly killed from behind. Or, I was fighting PvE mobs as another player runs towards me in the middle of them and causes the same scenario. The system is completely open to griefing and the advantage is always to the group trying to take your gear, unless you plan on blaating everyone who comes near you at extraction.

8 RepliesEdited by SpaceJam: 1/31/2016 4:25:17 AMDid you see the map? Its fkn big that alone is cooler than all of destiny's small ass maps combined. 4 man squads over 3. Weapons seem pretty balanced so far unlike destiny. I like 3rd person a little better than first person. Tons of customizes for your character so we can truly look unique unlike destiny. Weapon skins. Gameplay is smooth like destiny so thats an even steven. Tons of attachments for guns so you can make a gun fit your play style to the T. Can you do that with destiny? Nope! I'm not saying this game will be better than destiny although for me it probably will but it will definitely give destiny a run for its money. Destiny is addicting because its an endless grind. The division is different, you actually get rewarded for putting in work. Extractions are fun, you never know if the other teams will try to screw you over and if they do, an epic battle plays out. Should i go on? The division is just too fun.

If there's an event of course.

I agree. I will definitely buy it and play it often for a change of pace. That said it doesn't have the gunplay and unique guns that Destiny has. The pvp is cool but it is a complete night and day difference from Destiny pvp. I think The Division, based on my playing of the beta, is a fun game and will be worth a buy to play with my friends. It's not going to make me pull Destiny out of the console and never play again though.
-
I'm going to get it. Haven't played the beta as I don't want to know what the -blam!- I'm doing until I can just have the whole game in my hands. The movement is a bit off putting as I thought that last future soldier game nailed it campaign and mechanics wise.
-
4 RepliesGuessing your talking about the division? Lol....
-
Fighting humans is just boring to me.
-
Game world detail is amazing. Played alpha and beta... Has great potential... Not a fan of the darkzone though...people camping spawn doors, confusing system, need to have a team as being a lone wolf does not seem to work... Hopefully there is more to pvp than that. I am looking forward to 8 man raids and seeing other endgame content. I plan on playing both.
-
17 RepliesI haven't played the division beta, so I can't comment on gameplay but from the looks of it it took a pretty hefty downgrade from what was shown at e3 and I don't know about you guys but I've just about had enough of false advertising.
-
12 RepliesEnd game of Division is; Gather team in Dark Zone. Rob everyone. Rinse and repeat.
-
1 ReplyIt seems like it's gonna be a good game for that type of game. Destiny is different. I can see me playing both though. .
-
3 RepliesPeople will play both. I don't get this mentality that we can only play one game.
-
6 RepliesI'm hoping the destiny Devs took the time to play it. There's lots of features they could adapt for destiny 2.
-
8 RepliesThey lost me at Third Person.
-
Well destiny as a pvp only game is not worth sticking a round for. I for one am very happy to have another game that rewards daily play and I'll still look forward to destiny dlc's that can be accomplished in a single day. Just happy I can spend my time somewhere else soon.

All I see is walking

Yeah man I agree. There's something about the mechanics that I just love in Destiny. It combines so many things from games ive enjoyed in the past, bit of MGS aiming, bit of Halo gameplay, pve+pvp are fast paced like CoD, loot like in Borderlands1, even the movement feels so good.

2 RepliesWhat beta is this ( what game)
-
I like grapes
-
With this ib, I've left destiny almost completely and played bo3. Lots of fun
-
I'm currently playing the beta and it's honestly everything I hoped destiny would be
