Is there a game story worse than Destiny?

In terms of in game story told to you with established lore that most people have to go out of game to figure out? Dark Souls 1and 2 had less told to you in game. You had to go and seek out lore and learn about your environment and find out what was going on. It was an intriguing take on story development, one I love. Too bad Destiny has these neat environments with clues as to how people lived and died in them, but it's just lore and not story, right?

The original Super Mario Brothers definitely had a worst story than Destiny. Bad guy kidnaps princess. Good guy saves princess. How cliche and boring.

I love the Destiny story. Its all in the Grimoire. Learn to read and you'll love it too.

Destiny's story is bad but I think it was done on purpose. It's been all but confirmed that the original story for destiny was scrapped close to release they needed something in terms of a story for the game so they wrote what we all got. A short bare bones story with an open ending. Now the writers have as blank a template as they can get writing a sequel.
