Is there a game story worse than Destiny?

I can think of many games with a worse story. The only issue with destiny's story in the incomplete way in which it is given. Rather than going in depth on the important details we are thrown into a world we barely understand with no convictions to fight the darkness other than being told to. Our characters have no depth. They lived long ago yet seemingly have no care towards their past. We know we are guardians but we do not understand fully what that means, nor the history behind them. The most insight we get is the grimoire, which is very cryptic itself and is not accessible within the game. At this point we have the foundation for a great universe. However very little has been explored. Yes, it will be revealed over 10 years, however at this point the only thing we know is that the darkness must be stopped. Everything else is speculation.

" OMG JUST READ THE LORE " Idk what games these people are playing but when I sit down to play a game I expect everything I need to know about the game to be presented to me. The equivalent of what these people want is a director releasing a movie with a shitty plot and then passing out the movie scripts expecting everyone in the audience to read it. I honestly doubt these people would be defending the director but for some reason people think they need to defend Bungie.

3 RepliesI feel like with the ten years of dlc bungie agreed to, we have only scratched the surface. Think of it like a tv show and we're just meeting the characters. The stranger, vex, cabal ect will all play into larger roles like Crota and the queen have and are. Time will come and the writers will wrap the loose ends up. I can follow the story which they leave myself with questions, just like cliff hangers at the end of your hour long television episode or movie. Give it time. The stories conclusions and the depth are coming.
