Finally got the Gjallarhorn after 30+ days, 70+ RNG exotics!!!!
EDIT May 26th, I FINALLY got the Gjallarhorn on Tuesday, reset day. I did Crota normal 3x, Nightfall 3x, and Atheon Hard 3x, on my last Atheon encounter, on my Titan I saw it pop up. I was ecstatic! I had previously got a Dragon's Breath, Truth, No Land Beyond, and The Last Word, the same day from said previous activities ^
The curse has been broken! After 70+ exotics from RNG i FINALLY EARNED MY GJALLARHORN!!!!!
After having Destiny from Day 1, thoroughly enjoying the gameplay and raiding with friends, I've decided enough is enough. I just can't deal with how Destiny's reward system is based off of RNG. Whose bright idea was that?
After getting my 5th Universal Remote, and 8th Dragon's Breath from Crota Hard today i was like "F*** It, I'm done".
I've completed every Nightfall since day 1, every raid since day 1, including VoG and CE on Hard with all 3 characters for MONTHS IN A ROW. And yet this game STILL won't reward me with a Gjallarhorn, even after giving my friends their 3rd or 4th ones while I'm in the same game. Complete Bull****. 30 days of game time, F*** RNG.

NO ONE has worse luck than me. Tell me what are the "random" chances of THIS happening?
Let me know when you get 56 Exotic weapons, out of 15 possible weapons, and have them all be duplicates, and not 1 Gjallarhorn or Mida.

EDIT: Such a toxic community. For those of you showing sympathy and encouragement, I thank you. The community needs more people like you all.
EDIT 2: To the people who think I quit just because i didn't get the Gjallarhorn- no that's not true. Hunger of Crota is just as viable an option. What brought me to my boiling point was the sheer amounts of Dragon's Breaths and No Land Beyonds i got in this last month. It's so infuriating how RNG was seen as a good option for what could have been an amazing game.

1 ReplyMy only Gjallahorn dropped for me on Crota normal last week. It took me some time to get it and I wasn't expecting it. I may never get a Vex (you have 5) but if that is the case than so be it. I have been here since the beta and I enjoy playing. This game is addictive but don't let it ruin your gameplay. Stay positive Guardian, it will drop for you when you least expect it.

I more than understand your frustration with the loot system. I got 4 Plan C's in a row before getting another exotic. This the only game I know where you can't get what you want no matter how good you are, or how much you play it. I wouldn't go as far as to uninstall the game, but if that's what you need to do in order to enjoy other games, to each his own. I hope you find peace bruh.

If you're quitting because you don't have stuff, then you're playing for the wrong reason and probably shouldn't be playing at all.

Your list misses a 4th horseman. Total of dropping weapons incl. the crux is 17. On destinyexotics.com you can see what you miss. I also had like 7 NLB's, 5 Suros, etc but who gives a shit. Free shards. Necrochasm sucks and I rather have a teammate with a maxed out Hunger and skills then a (maxed out) Gjallar and no skills. On Atheon to kill him you better bring a black hammer. On Crota hard enough people have a gjallar so that's no problem. On most strikes the black hammer is also the best weapon for bosses. Eventually you would have gotten a Gjallar. Too bad you gave up so soon. Saw you finished Crota hard only 17 times. I finished it completely for 70 times and got my 5th crux. Heard the dropping chance is only 5%. I agree with you that it's not a fair system. I think players who finished a lot of raids, strikes or have crucible victories should get an increased chance on an exotic or something.

Where does it state you're owed a ghalla after playing a bunch? Seriously man, I don't have one either but I just don't worry about it. You've ruined the game for yourself putting all hopes on one weapon. There's dozens of others. Just learnt to have fun with what you're given. And yeah it does suck but that how random works. No better system without just guaranteeing weapon "X" for doing this or weapon "Y" for playing this long. Have fun playing, not waiting for a reward, that's the point of video games. Or yeah please quit and take your toxic attitude away from this community. Already too many complainers like you.

Cheers. I quit back in Feb. I still keep an eye on the forums from time to time, as I still love this game at heart. I just wish that Bungie would put that heart into it. I hope it gets better, until then, I'll be checking up in it every now and then.
