JUST SOLOED TEMPLAR ON HARD!
It all started when my fireteam rage quited and I was tired of finding a new team so I decided to try soloing the Templar and it took an hour but I killed him alone.
I recorded a two minute video of me performing this incredible feat and I will be updating this forum with the video soon!

[b]Summary:[/b] Right after my whole fire team rage quitted and there was nobody in the game I decided to screw around with the relic and started killing harpies. I started shooting the relic super at the Templar then I noticed that his health was slowly dropping down. At that point I knew it was possible to solo the Templar. So I spent a little over half an hour shooting the relic super at him then when he was half health, I started to get a little more daring. Every time I disbursed his shield I would drop the relic and start shooting at him with the Vex Mythoclast for a short time and picking the relic back up before the void killed me. By repeating this process over and over I was finally able to kill him and it only took a little bit over an hour. Oh yeah, if you're wondering where the Oracles are, after he entered in enrage mode and 20 minutes of surviving the endless waves of oracles, they just stop spawning which was really awesome!

Bungie: "well um... The raid requires one guy to be really good so he won't need matchmaking and can just solo shit and... -blam!- it were too lazy to make raid matchmaking" Bump this statement and this guys post for them to see why matchmaking would be just fine

Sometimes teamwork is overrated. Too many times in raid people aren't shooting heavies, or don't have fully upgraded weapons. Makes for long games and rage quits. I laugh when at the Aetheon checkpoint and I get teleported with 2 guys who run past relic and say "I'm not holding it". Learn to do all things guys, you may need to one day
