Sunsinger is solar
Defender is void
There's no arc subclass for support I don't even know if makes sense to make one seeing that the only class without arc is warlock and they already have a support class

33 RepliesLet's make it clear, support is a play style; not a direct result of abilities that you branch into on the class tree. Permit me to give you a breakdown: A Fireborn Sunsinger is a medic, he prevents a hard wipe on a strike or revives downed teammates in skirmish/ salvage. He can also avenge fallen teammates. A Song of Flame Sunsinger is a utility, he helps nearby fireteam members by reducing ability cooldowns when he uses Radiance. A Voidwalker is a suppressor, he has constant grenade energy that feeds into super energy resulting in non-stop pressure against both Mobs & Guardian. A Striker Titan is a suppressor, he has abilities like Shoulder Charge & Fists of Havoc which result in near-endless momentum against Mobs & Guardians. A Defender Titan is a utility, he uses suppression grenades to hinder enemies whilst using Ward of Dawn and an application of Force Barrier to assist Guardians in almost any scenario. Gunslinger and Bladedancer Hunters are a utility; they are self-sufficient. They can assault foes and zones at any range. Main difference between the two being the range they have to engage foes at while using their supers. CQC for Bladedancer, mid-range for Gunslinger. The point in bringing up viable range for Hunters is because of Orb drop locations and diversion of enemy fire. Both are fulfilling a support role. I would like to get across to the community that there is no One support subclass. Every class has abilities that benefit other players in the same fireteam. Warlock fireteam cooldown reduction & self-revive medic are awesome abilities, but that doesn't make them any more or less of a support role than a Hunter thinning enemy ranks with sniper fire from behind; or a Titan in the Vanguard providing shields and wards for other Guardians to utilize. Cooperative play-styles are the best support roles; don't let class boundaries limit you to thinking a certain subclass is a better choice for support than any other. "We're in this together, team. Fight Back!" --Lord Shaxx

1 ReplyThe 3rd subclass (support for the hunter) will come with the DLC update.
-
6 RepliesSunsinger is a solo play class though. The only thing "support" about it is that "reduce the cooldowns of nearby teammates" Defender is the only support-y class
-
2 RepliesI mean, bladedancer is a solid healer. But doesn't produce many orbs. It's close to a support role though.
-
9 RepliesTitan has arch as well
-
2 RepliesWould've been neat if the bubble did arc damage to enemies who enter it.
I know the Defender is void, don't worry!
-
3 RepliesThe other 3 subclasses will be released sometime around the DLC. They have already had a preview.

1 ReplyWhat do you expect from a half assed game from bungievision? You get more content with a $5 hooker.

1 ReplyInvisibility is support
-
Sunsinger can be used as a support class but it is not only a support class. You can use it aggressively or you can use it as support for your team. It all based on playstyle. The defender Titan is the only designated support class.

Edited by Birdy: 11/10/2014 6:46:07 PMInteresting... Not sure it matters, the third (support) subclass will be void so it seems to be irrelevant.

7 RepliesEdited by VSeconds: 11/9/2014 3:45:03 AMWhy don't people think about it this way, it maybe the pattern Arc Hunter arc close range Titan arc mid range Warlock are maybe long range? Void Warlock void long range Titan void close range Hunter are maybe mid range? Solar Hunter are long range Warlock are mid range Titan are maybe close range?

6 RepliesYou could say that the upcoming arc thrower subclass for the warlock is an arc support. But that's a stretch
-
Seriously are you

1 ReplyI use the invisibility on my blade dancer to play medic. It's the only time that I'd ever switch from gunslinger.
-
Bladedancer. Mob control + invisibility to go revive teammates.
-
If anything it will be an arc CQ style with crowd control abilities. Hunter will get void support Titan will get solar + range.
-
Every class is missing a subclass of specific damage types. Warlock is missing Arc Titan is missing Solar Hunter is missing Void
-
1 ReplyBladedancers fully support an electrified knife up the ass
-
2 RepliesWhen they release the new subclasses every class with have 1 subclass that does each elemental type.
-
theres already a space for a 3rd sub-class so it will most likely be whatever elemental each class is missing such as arc for the warlock.

12 RepliesThe Hunters invisibility perks don't get near enough credit! I'm not a hunter and don't like playing as them but I always make sure there's one in the group on Nightfalls because it seems like every week doing the Nightfall 2 of us go down and the hunter ends up bailing us out.
