New way to cheese atheon.
From what i've heard this is where you can shove him off. This video is not from today and is on accident. But it's to show where and that it is possible.

For those that can't watch the video all you have to do is get him close to the middle platform where people normally jump on to be shielded by the relic. there are gaps around that platform that make him fall off there.

EDIT: I really can't believe that i have to make an edit when it states it clearly in my post. THIS VIDEO IS NOT FROM TODAY. People have been asking me which ledge can he still be shoved off of since i told a few people And i quote "i heard it was still possible."
the POINT of the video is to show exactly where i was told he can fall off post patch. NOT to show you that it was done today.

The thing that is funny about this video is how quick his life was going down and maybe one more oracle run would of been the end of him. Atheon is too easy I hate the fact that getting the relic is the hard part and the actual boss is a huge wimp. they did not need bumpers they just needed to make a boss mechanic. Atheon already knew where the edges were because he wont just simply walk off on his own. so why not just have the bad ass he should be walk through the DOT grenade to safety. what is a couple steps of damage to a "bad ass". The one thing I thought was really dumb was the random selection WTF god forbid we figured things out. I know I am speaking for myself but my regular raid group would switch things up each time we ran but once the rolls were figured out people stuck to them for the particular run. We changed rolls because we thought who ever got stuck running the oracles was doing way more work then the other three. why not have better events to get everyone to focus on those. I know Bungie has gone back to the development table for PvE events but the solution is simple. same as iron banner only give exotics that look bad ass because legendary is pointless at this point in the game. Give a little more back story maybe explaining why the queen is a krell These events would be Bungie's way of bringing the grimour cards into the game. just when giving a mission/bounty just put some text inn there explaining what the hell is going on. this does not take too much codding the only hard part is making the kick ass design of the exotic gear. and.. end of rant

Errbody in here be trying to rationalize cheating. You can do it sure. It's just a silly game but don't confuse yourself trying to justify it. Grow some balls and be like "Yeah b*tch! I pushed him off the edge. Bungie deserved it!... I was tired of Rahool's bs...." I did it :] No regrets. Now that's it's patched we can move on with our lives and beat Atheon the right way.

I do not think this is something you can set up and force Atheon to move to that specific position. I would not feel this is an exploit.

3 RepliesInstead of baby bumpers, if Bungie really wanted to fix this, they would check Atheon's vertical position when he died and if he was below a certain point (fell), wipe players. There you go. Now you can push Atheon off from wherever you want, you'll just die and restart in doing so.
