New way to cheese atheon.
From what i've heard this is where you can shove him off. This video is not from today and is on accident. But it's to show where and that it is possible.

For those that can't watch the video all you have to do is get him close to the middle platform where people normally jump on to be shielded by the relic. there are gaps around that platform that make him fall off there.

EDIT: I really can't believe that i have to make an edit when it states it clearly in my post. THIS VIDEO IS NOT FROM TODAY. People have been asking me which ledge can he still be shoved off of since i told a few people And i quote "i heard it was still possible."

3 RepliesWhile not trying to push him off, I was in a raid party that utilized the center platform to DPS Atheon. While doing so, at one point, he crossed the gap and wiped the whole fire team.... Shit happens.

I can confirm the Templar is still pushable with warlock grenades but Atheon will teleport to the middle if forced out of his area.

New strategy: If you can make it to atheon without the monkey virus taking your whole team back to orbit, you can then infect him with the monkey virus and hopefully he gets KtO before you.

I think its a good thing people post these topics, and a video link to provide evidence of the glitch/exploit/hack or whatever one may call it. Thank you for this. The reason i thank you for posting this is because i believe the fast people find a way to glitch/exploit these mechanics, the faster it will be taken into consideration for being patched. I am not a fan of these glitches/exploits to knock a raid boss of the edge, or sit on the side of the map to defeat a boss. I will not lie and say i haven't ever done these, because i have. I have knocked both the Templar and Atheon off the map, as well as sit form the edge and snipe the oracles. I've done all those things. But the first time i completed both the normal and the hard raid were completed without such easy schemes to win. Now i know people will most likely argue with me about how its their "Destiny Experiences" and they paid for the game and they should be able to beat the boss anyway they want, but the game wasn't intended to be beaten that way from the start. The fact that people were able to beat him like that now just says something about the team behind testing the content for destiny. I'm glad people find these glitches/exploits so quickly, because that means the dev team responsible for patching and "fixing" certain portions of the game can get on it faster. What i'm trying to say is, thank you. Please continue to update us on "cheesing methods/glitch areas/exploit spots" and any other way you will call it. The sooner these become recognized by the community, the sooner they will become abused and the sooner they will become patched. Because that's what this is, something that needs to get patched. Hate me for saying that, but that's just my opinion. It's a part of the game that will be patched soon (hopefully) and something we can look back on in a couple months and laugh at how easy it use to be, and how we use to depend on "cheesing" the raid to successfully complete it Edit: People seem to pick little pieces of a larger statement, and dissect that single sentence or word, until there is nothing else to find behind it, and by the amount of thinking the put into that single part, they have gotten completely off topic and are commenting on how i some how became the Antichrist and my opinion is false.. 10 RepliesOne good way to kill Atheon, is by taking every bit of ammo you got plus six other battle buddies ammo and put it into Atheon. It works every time.
