Worst Exotic Weapon in the Game, Period.
Hard Light
This should be the Tutorial Weapon.
No, this weapon should only be shown on the back of the box in a screenshot.
If you want to lead your team in PVP Assists go ahead and use this pile of garbage.
Have fun while you unload an ENTIRE F'N MAGAZINE into the PVP enemy and he kills you.

Edited by WarpPigeon: 10/22/2014 11:39:24 AMon a side note to Hardlight, I perform slightly better with "aggressive ballistics", sacrificing accuracy for 10% more damage because the accuracy you gain from CQB ballistics doesnt seem to improve the gune enough, the effective range is still pretty close range (closer range than suros) and it still seems to be just as poor with the left and right swing during recoil. hope it helps people. still think it needs a little something extra to help it along. Especially as its exotic.

9 RepliesNews flash: all the exotics were designed with PvE in mind and really shine there, where their damage isn't reduced. Also exotics are called exotics based on the crazy buffs they give, not because they can one shot everything. Sorry the weapon doesn't work out for you in PvP. Maybe you should run some strikes with it and see how you like it there.

2 RepliesEdited by WarpPigeon: 10/20/2014 3:36:48 PMI have found i'm not great with the Hardlight gun, unless I'm on a roll in the cruicible. It's in need of a tweak/buff i agree. Its my favourite looking gun in game to date, I want to run around with it and look boss, but its underperforming. There are many variations on set up.. Variation one: set it up for max stability, it has the same rate of fire and damage(impact) as the shengen E, slightly better reload and other bits. [CQB Ballistics] Variation two: have the max impact and less stability, but more "predictable recoil". on paper (stats screen) this looks like an excellent choice in reality not so much [aggressive ballistics] Having tried out the higher impact variation on the ammo, you go from a 20 damage headshot (variation 1) to a 22 damage head shot(variation 2). So i think you will still take the same amount of bullets to kill some one. (is it around 180 health a player has? i know 193 = sticky grenade = kills the opponent) The other problem is the recoil on a standard shengen is pretty linear. (the spread is verticle, little pull left or right) on hardlight there is alot more left and right pull. so it has the same damage and rate of fire, and should be more stable, which perhaps it is in the verticle plain, but left and right recoil pull is too high, so its actually harder to head shot people with it than it is with a regular shengen. I'm keeping it because i think it looks bad ass and hope they buff it, but we shall see.

17 RepliesThe last word isn't the worst but it is over hyped. I received it in the crucible friday night and it's my first exotic too. But, like I said, it's over hyped. Pretty cool pistol flip when I switch to it though.

2 RepliesI agree with Hard Light. I was using Dr Nope and thought that was terrible. No impact. Lots of recoil. Hard Light was more of the same... with more recoil.

I just got a hardlight and was demolishing with it before the first upgrade was unlocked.. could have done better with another gun probably but the high rof and consistent dmg makes it just fine in my book.

... its a balance type, not a precision type( basically think of it was a shingen with armor piercing rounds, , super low recoil, a large then normal mag, and the rounds bounce, just for shits'n'giggles. on paper, what ive seen of it make it look like the PERFECT handi gun, that is usefull in most situations.
