Bows, Vehicles and Other Weapon Types in Destiny
Edit:This post has become a bit of a hybrid encompassing all weapon and vehicle ideas for Destiny. Read what is here and if you have more ideas feel free to share!
Also feel free to like any ideas already here so as to further this post!
New ideas will be listed as follows and all new ideas will be credited to the person(s) I see posting about it.
New Weapon ideas:

Grenade Launcher - IlIBlackoutIlI
Laser Cannon - IlIBlackoutIlI
Melee weapons - Swords, Axes, Hammers, Scythes, Spears, Maces, and Staves. Exotics could be Katanas, Bleeding Psycho axe, Flaming warhammer, scythe that turns you into the grim reaper, etc - IlIBlackoutIlI
Melee stances. Each character goes fist/knife/magic-slap only. Faster melee speed. 0.5x more damage - IlIBlackoutIlI
Load Rifle. Rifle fires more rounds the longer the charge is held. Up to three. Like a fusion rifle but longer charge and more selectable on how much ammo you use - Candain
More mounted turret variations like rocket and gauss turrets - IlIBlackoutIlI
Emission Cannon (Sentinel Beam)- Candain
Flamethrower - FromNowOn

New Vehicle Ideas:
Rhino. Slow moving slow firing tank with huge cannon and blast radius. Turret seat and Two side seats for passengers - IlIBlackoutIlI
Eagle. Small helicopter with dual machine guns and two side seats for passengers - IlIBlackoutIlI
Badger. Small hovering vehicle capable of an upward thrust or jump. Has a slow firing highly accurate cannon that cannot zoom but can kill with a headshot or two body shots - IlIBlackoutIlI
Boar. Mid-speed vehicle with a mounted 360° machine gun and passenger seat - IlIBlackoutIlI

1 ReplyFirst I was going to say no.. future game future weapon.. then I thought.. welll a futuristic energy bow.. yeah maybe that could work..make it like Aurelie(sp) bow.. as you draw it the arrow appears at that point. Balanced with a average quiver size 20 or less, and slow draw time. Would be a great skilled weapon having to deal with the arc of the arrow over distance.

7 RepliesGive the titan a choice between a sword and a shield. Give the hunter a choice between a bow or two daggers. Give the warlock a big metal jagged staff. The staff would amplify all of the warlocks spells, allowing them to channel their energy through the staff. For example, warlocks could fire a void laser out the tip of the staff. Sun singers could constantly spawn and fling suns at people. Ideally, even though everyone started out with a gun in this game. Make it so everyone's end goal is to obtain a relic. All of which potentially unlocks completely different skill trees specifically attached to the relics.

1 ReplyEveryone wants mêlée weapons but hates bladedancers? Do you even remember the sword of Croata mission? It behaved the same as the arc blade. I personally like it but everyone bitches now, I don't think they will go for mêlée weapons.

1 ReplyThe thing is, that if Bungie put bows, swords, staffs, etc. It would be to much of a copycat of Warframe. So don't think everything you love will be in one game.

1 ReplyNope, I agree bows are bad ass, but only in games like Tomb Raider. Love 'em to death. Mind you, having said that, screw the legendary and exotic weapons, gimme the Sword of Crota. That is a freakin' awesome, fun weapon.

2 RepliesI think swords are an effing retarded idea, go play halo or dark souls.... Swords ruined halo, why why why! would you want to ruin this game anymore then the devs already have. Why not just be happy with what they give you FOR NOW and see what lies ahead. I'm sure they have tons of ideas and far more creative then what the general public gives them credit for. It's bad enough warlocks are just fancy dressed bdz characters, titans aren't really all that titanic and let's not get started on hunters with there 0 survivability. Quit trying to remake a new age failo I mean halo and enjoy what they have created and watch this project blossom. Swords. Really man.
