I think Bungie should not allow player trading
In destiny there is alot of possiblities to become legend and i would pfrefer it if players actually work to be on the top. Trading to players will only ruin this.
I do not want to be spending hours, days, or even weeks to obtain legendary level loot for it to only be traded from player to player. That would be a waste and it would dumb down its value.
Now from my understanding wepeons are distinct from one anothers rarity by colors:
[b]Common[/b](white)
[b]Uncommon[/b] (green)
[b]Rare[/b] (blue)
[b]Legendary[/b] (purple)
[b]Exotic[/b] (gold)
I do not mind player trading between basic and common wepeons because who cares right? Superior and Exotic however should be un-tradable items.
Although there is another solution to player trading. [b]Auctions[/b] should be placed in the tower/city and players sell valuable gear for hefty prices. Of crouse this runs us into another obsticle. Armor/ weps upgrades, stats, and levels. A player wanting to trade or buy a gun with a low level or all the wrong upgrades would be worthless right?
What are your guys opinions on player trading?

No player trading, but I think auctions surmount to the same thing. Most glimmer gets guns. If I find a rare item that has taken me 200hrs to find id be pissed if some lazy toad brought it fir 200 glimmer.

Maybe even a gifting system should be in order. Personally, the trading system should be equivalent like: Common item for Common Exotic for Exotic And when you view your traded item it shows who it is from. That way they don't get credited and the other person gets the street cred. [spoiler]Can't be legend without a little help :)[/spoiler]

2 RepliesWhat if they just made most of the special guns account bound? Only lower level stuff and less rare stuff trade able? Personally, I'd prefer no trading just because then you know whatever gear everyone has, they earned through effort and/or skill.

I agree on this one, trading weapons would make loot feel less special.

Agreed! I was actually going to make a similar post, glad I'm not the only one who thinks that. Like you said, good gear should be earned. Plus, half the fun of getting a sweet piece of equipment is the excitement of seeing it drop. It also ruins the idea bungie had of understanding what a player has been through because of their gear. And worst of all, trading could create dupping, spread mods, and no doubt there are people out there looking to hack and steal gear.

You should only be able to trade loot that can be bought from the tower or vendors. If its found in the wild then it shouldn't be tradible.

Yeah that's one thing that is going to suck . A friend giving their casual friend a really good piece of armor and they have it easy

However exotic weapons should have a story behind them. "WOW DUDE!! How did you get that Sniper rifle???" "I traded for it." Doesn't really sound that impressive does it.

1 ReplyI am with you. Some one could just given you very rare gear for next nothing. And you know this will happen. And when that happens, they are just robbing themselves the experience of actually finding their gear, like it should be.
