Which do you like more, American Dad or Familly Guy?
I personally like American dad more. The plot moves along much cleaner (no joke cut ins) and the characters are more lively and real so it's easier to relate to. Plus Peter kind of isn't funny anymore. I mean he can be, but being constantly dumb loses it's comedic appeal.

Family Guy hasn't been funny in over ten years. >Episode starts off with character looking for X, asking about X, or seeing X happening. >Goes off on a rant about "Just like the time when...." >Repeat for ten minutes. >Insert sexual innuendo. >Peter being retarded. >Brian being a liberal douche. >Stewy being gay. >More of "Just like the time when...." >Add pop culture references in between. >Finish with another sexual innuendo.

1 ReplyFamily guy better portrays the comedy it's pushing out while also being funny for the general public. So long as they aren't offended by the slightest stupid things. American dad is funny, to myself anyway, because it makes jokes out of the general conservative stereotypes, even if they aren't [i]100%[/i] true. [spoiler]they're mostly true.[/spoiler]

1 ReplyAmerican dad. They're both not that good though. I think the only reason why I watch family is because the show used to be funny. The last episode was disgusting,and the ones before that just go with a pattern; they have some random crap happens, and then they try ending it with some serious story. I just want funny, not some weird attempt at being dramatic. Like when peter almost married chris.
