Hand cannon’s and the meta need to be nerfed

There’s no reason at all that for the past years one weapon archetype has been dominating the crucible, it needs to be switched up or better yet, not have a meta, with the thousands of weapons in the game, only a handful of weapons will ever be used because they’re “meta” -the aim assist: yes MnK included, I play on PC and the aim assist/bullet magnetism is insane, there’s no reason that me shooting someone in the crotch should read as a headshot from a range. -the recoil: back in D1 hand cannons were a skill based weapon, high recoil high damage, after every shot you needed to adjust your aim after it kicked, not anymore, it’s low recoil high damage, there’s no trade off to using it, no con, essentially no reason to run anything other than one, it’s the perfect weapon, it should be changed. -range and damage fall off: with everything I mentioned above, they completely dominate in 90% of engagements, range is covered because the aim assist/ bullet magnetism backs it up, allowing for easier “headshots” and the recoil makes it almost non existent to even have to “try” to get your shot on target as it’s always there. It’s just obnoxious, but along with it, SKMM needs to only be in trials and comp, it should be open skill (CBMM) for everything else. I know this will fall on deaf ears, but because of the meta and the PVP players from SKMM it turned into a game mode I loved into such a chore to go in, a reminder to why I hate PVP now so much, it’s been soiled, it’s a shell of what it once was.

      • You are right… the hand cannon fans on the forum will quote ttk… not understanding that it’s almost irrelevant in a weapon that does so much damage per shot!

      • We are still complaining about hand cannons? The number one gun is a pulse right now. The primary weapon sandbox is balanced between HCs, pulses, scouts, and SMGs.

      • skill issue post, primary balance is near perfect atm, outside some small number of guns that are bad but with the right combo are broken
