In an apartment complex. Old wiring, minimal spend wifi plan.
Once you all get on, not even kidding, Bungie servers DoS me. Goes “Contacting… Contacting… and gtfo”
wifi system in console goes haywire, cannot get on for a few minutes meanwhile my wifi says im all good. If I persist to game, the game servers will DDoS me so my wifi actually goes down. It is crazy and I have no clue how life works but yeah definitely suspicious behavior from my electronics
Because most games are online, my dumb thought that I could pay a low price and still enjoy games that require a quantum computer to maintain the game structure backfires at times.
Wifi is a privilege. My privilege only gets me so much XD
At least I am learning… games are like “yeah you are poor and we have actual paying people hopping on so… scoot”

1 ReplyIt’s clear you don’t understand the basic threshold of what goes in to gaming online over WiFi, educate yourself with a basic google search before embarrassing yourself.

Bungie lists in the article below the connection requirements and what to expect when playing Destiny on wifi. There's also some recommendations on what you can do to have a better experience. https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/360049496871-Network-Setup-Wifi-v-Wired-Connections

An ethernet cord isn't that expensive, and will stabilize your connection If you play any information dependent online game, hardwired is the way to go
If I persist to game, the game servers will DDoS me so my wifi actually goes down.
Please stop using terms/acronyms that you do not know what they mean. Also Bungie doesn't hate the poor, I do. "Efficiency and progress is ours once more Now that we have the neutron bomb..."

almost all online games have minimum connection requirements due to the fact that you will most likely be interacting with others. and if your wifi negatively affects others gameplay, that is not good. what exactly are your connection speeds (up AND down)? any idea what your ping is to bungie.net?

That's neither a DoS or DDoS.

Same… playing with people who lag all over isn’t very fun
