Here's a question. If Bungie's lying... where's the proof?
And I'm not talking about other times they supposedly lied, like the XP throttling or Trials or whatever. I'm talking about [i]THIS. PARTICULAR. TIME.[/i] If Bungie is indeed supposedly "lying" about these DDoS attacks SPECIFICALLY... where is the proof that points to the contrary? I'll wait.

3 RepliesThe only reason I think some people are skeptical is simply because of Bungie's track record. No real way to know either way unless you're on the inside, but Bungie as a company doesn't really have a great history when it comes to being transparent.

Here’s the proof. It’s been several days. Not minutes, not hours. DAYS!!! A DDOS attack is a federal crime. And it’s been happening to them for DAYS?… Bwahahahahahaha!!! Whether it’s true or not is irrelevant. What’s sad is that I have gotten so used the all the error codes, crappy server issues, and broken stuff after “maintenance” that I really didn’t notice a difference and just chalked it up to normal Bungie stuff. I expected it really

10 RepliesI honestly don’t know what to believe, but being Devil’s advocate, where’s the proof it’s actually DDOS attacks other than a tweet telling us? Be a weird thing to lie about honestly, but they should be using their money and resources to get it under control. And if they are doing that, they should give us a heads up or little more communication. If they just kept us in the loop a little better, maybe we’d be more understanding. I’m not goin to call out Bungie for lying or bash them, or threaten to quit or whatever, but I’d appreciate better communication on what’s happening and how they plan on rectifying the situation. It’s the weekend now, people want to play. So it’s understandable to be upset.

They probably are being DDOSed, but that may be normal. The TWAB didn’t say anything about DDOS. I think this is all related to the fix they pushed and probably are still pushing.

I say the DDoS is either fake, or was much much shorter than what they saying, or, even worse, they have absolutely no DDoS mitigation tools at all, since Destiny 1 in 2014...
