Go read it yourself. The guardian games cup is about streamers and a reward only for them.. Bungie again shows who they make the game for.. streamers and themselves.. profit and that is it. The rest of the player base doesn't matter to them at all.
Bungie has been spouting inclusion for a while.. and yet they continue to show the real colors of their elitism.

8 RepliesThis is garbage. Worst event in franchise history. I don’t watch other people play games. I couldn’t care less. This is some bullshit.
-
Nothing new they are also bribing their streamers with this 2 subs for an emblem etc. Its straight out marketing for bungie and they pay the streamers indirectly for it. Should be punishable by law.
-
6 RepliesIf YT 'content creators' disappeared off the face of the earth tomorrow literally nothing of any importance would be lost.

2 RepliesYeah, im not often critical of Bungie but this one hit me in the guts. Guardian Games became pretty tedious a long while back with little incentive to grind it out. Surely Bungie, your resources could have been better applied to providing the broader player base with something new and rewarding rather than a dedicated experience for streamers. Do you want us to play the game or watch a stream. If so, i’ll choose Netflix every time.

2 RepliesEdited by BoomerSooner51: 5/4/2022 2:59:24 PMRemember when these assclowns said they wanted D2 to be "watchable?" This is the kind of shit they meant. It's all about inclusion until there is a more attractive incentive.
Apparently "ass" is a no-no word and gets censored now.
5 RepliesEdited by Flame: 5/5/2022 3:51:51 PMAh yes Bungie should’ve picked random guardians with unpredictable schedules to represent their community for the event. It’s just not practical, what would qualify you or anyone else? The streamers that were chosen are trusted by bungie. Like sure they could’ve done an application process a few months ago and used that to choose their leaders but that would still be kinda iffy, people would still not agree with it, and those people still aren’t as trustworthy as streamers that have been around for a long time and Bungie has watched themselves. Also the bigger part of this Guardian Games Cup is the charity event, which again if I were bungie I’d want the players/streamers that I trust most to run that.

Just don't watch it. I won't. I'll play the game instead and when I'm not I'll watch something else.

1 ReplyEdited by Runninscared: 5/4/2022 3:49:48 PMStreamers Cup The rest of you grind for uh, um, dunno
-
3 RepliesI'm amazed people watch people playing Destiny. If you thought playing the games yourself is a waste of time... watching someone else do it I don't get.
-
It’s just a glorified charity drive fund raiser. Settle down children. It’s an out of game event with an out of game reward. It’s almost like complaining Worlds First Raid completion gets a belt, because you had to go to work.
-
35 RepliesThe guardian games cup is about charity, and it's alongside the regular guardian games charade. I don't see the problem, the streamers are probably better about getting donations than you or me.
-
5 RepliesLol another kid crying about streamers.
-
This still doesn’t beat people crying over a sparrow.
-
God some of you are so damn stupid and jealous of streamers it’s sad.
-
@LUCKY10 P can go -blam!- himself if he thinks making a YouTube video about this “drama” or “controversy” is a good idea
-
1 ReplyHoly -blam!-, you got the Tuber fanboys all fired up. Lmfao!
-
You mean Bungie Oligarchs
-
amen brother. That's why i quit playing this as my main game. Really sad but they don't deserve my time when they are only catering to full time neckbeards.
-
Bump. shitty event
-
1 ReplyI think it's great. I don't personally watch any D2 steamers or YouTubers, but I imagine a lot of people will enjoy following the journey of their favourite ones throughout the comp 🙂 Plus it's a good charity event. Win win 👍

If enough people stopped playing, that would get Bungie's attention real fast! But nobody want to do it.

Edited by The new, new kell of kells: 5/5/2022 1:52:23 PMYeah it's all about sweatcicle, cbgray, datto, and fallout plays. Yeah most of the time if you have a job you wouldn't be able to grind enough to get the good loot like the heir apparent and other stuff Edit: why don't we try to strike Bungie by stop playing the game and buying any dlcs and stop watching the destiny 2 streamers and YouTubers that will possibly stop Bungie from neglecting non-streamers
-
I’ve been playing Fortnite as my main game, destiny has lost its touch these past 2 years.

2 RepliesDon’t watch top of director streamers, yet they have a “good ole boys club “ and don’t care about any of you. They are lovey dovey with the dmg , dmg praises these guys. If you want to send the ultimate 🖕🏼, don’t watch or support

10 RepliesStop giving Streamers money and they disappear. We literally have 100% of the power to affect change on this issue.
