Witch Queen is mediocre at best.
You made a decent campaign and we are having it shoved down our throats most likely for at least a year. But where is the beef?? Content is lack luster and boring. After a few week I do not care if I play. What a waste of money. My bordom and anger just keeps growing about this game. I can't see playing it much longer. The story has sucked from day 1 - the fact that you think you are telling a story is a huge joke.

The environments are great. Nothing else really changed. Just more grindy activities. Better than beyond light. Europas not even fun to explore.

Everything else is grind, grind, grind, with grind on the side, extra size grind, grind for days, and grind on top of all that grind, plus grind. Gambit is a dumpster-fire. PvP is same crap we’ve seen for the last 3 years. I stop playing in week 3 of this new expansion. I’m having far more fun and getting way, way more content in Horizon Forbidden West.

4 RepliesWhat is your suggestion then? I mean, I loved it when I got my brand new car, but now, meh. I loved my new TV, but now, meh. Those shoes sure looked good on my feet, but now, meh. Get my point?? You can’t expect them to cater to everyone’s opinion and create something new every 4 to 6 weeks. Do I have complaints? Damn straight I do. But yours just sounds like maybe you should move onto something else…..while we all know damn well you’ll be back.

3 RepliesPeople get really upset when you say stuff like this so don’t bother. If you see the truth accept destiny for what it is or move on. So many people are so overly invested they will defend the game regardless. People think this dlc was good simply because the past few years were so awful they will take anything. Your not going to win this even if your right because the destiny community has such a large population of bungie apologist and those suffering from terminal sunken cost. It’s still hilarious to watch people jump to defend everything I would argue that’s the most entertaining part of the game.

My one gripe with the Witch Queen campaign is that the first mission lacks that flair, and it is also sooooooo long.

Well you know I don't think Bungie went out of there way to ask what type of game you want to play and what you want in it, they just went with what they can add to the genre of games that are out there. And they can't really copy what other games do to copyright issues unless they get permission from that company to do so. Some games are a good fit with some people and others are not, so I would say see what else is out there you might find what you're looking for.

I find it extremely boring, but I don't think it's Witch Queen itself per se...its where WQ is during the lifespan of the game. Most of us are just burned out with the same crap we used to put up with. I mean this is the first time I dont care about the Seals at all. I only wear Rivensbane, Shadow and Conqueror anyway.

Taken king was a bigger shift in the overall game than anything Bungie has done since, considering every time they *learn* they take steps backwards with each "new" idea. But yeah, Taken king really reinvigorated my interest in the game back in the day.

I really respect and appreciate your opinion especially since you’ve only completed one mission in the campaign that you’re talking about. That was sarcasm. Most people would be smart enough to pick it up but I’m assuming you’re not since you weren’t intelligent enough to know you’d be caught lying

1 ReplyCampaign was so-so. Campaign the second time around on Legendary, trying to help a friend, well that was just stupid and the rewards were insulting. Add in that none of the new armor has dropped with anything better than a 50 Stat, well, all parts and infusion. So for the 2nd and 3rd toons, it's just gaming the system with 1860 weapons and the occasional high light but crap Stat armor from Xur. Sure as hell won't be dragging another character through that story again. Gambit continues to be a dumpster fire. Wellspring is about as dull as farming planetary materials. Dares? Nope, what's that. Preservation is just a gimmie Pinnacle after you're done with the puzzle/triumph. We lost the Glyckon, which was fun, for a swamp. Exo challenges should be moved into the Vanguard Ops rotation with the equally worthless Rite of Proving. Visually the Throne world is ugly. More of Mars would have been better, except the Relic which becomes a place even less visited than the shipwright, once you realize you already have better guns in the vault than you can craft. Meh, your mileage may vary. 3 out of 5. Playable but nothing extraordinary, like minesweeper or solitaire.

This time they gave us nearly all new content day 1 and those who play at least 2-3 hours a day feel bored after a few weeks. For me WQ was the 3rd best dlc in Destinys history. Im having a break for some weeks now (Elden Ring) and wait for the new season.

3 RepliesTaken King to this day has the best story, best villain, best gear, best music, best location and best voice acting. “LIGHT. GIVE ME YOUR SOUL!” Is STILL the most terrifying thing I’ve ever heard in Destiny, and I’m not sure how they could top that, unless Savathun isn’t lying and Oryx is coming back and we’ll get to fight him again.

Campaign was good, but the core game activities (strikes, crucible, gambit) are beyond stale at this point. If it was up to me, I’d vault gambit and allocate more resources to more crucible/strikes content.

Have you not done the raid? It's probably the best yet, new strikes are great, psiops is solid, the exotic quests had good story elements too

It’s absolutely missing Location Events An [b]Escalation Protocol 3.0[/b] would have been perfect No matchmaking needed, just go to the planets, run the Public Events, clear the area And then activate the towers Think Master/GM difficulty (just no locked loadouts/revive mechanics) Incredibly challenging (no room for spectators & carries) Waves 1-9 (weekly loot & high stat armour drop Lucent Hive, Lightbearers, Champions, Executioners, Scorn wielding Stasis Multiple unique mechanics, bosses, strategies Weekly rotation on armour pieces & event weapons (unique & NEW crafted blueprints) And all the relevant emblems/shaders/ships etc Ascendant Alloy & Prism reward +3 pinnacle for 1st [b]full[/b] completion Other ideas ?

Hey op, when are you actually going to play this Season? You have 0 progress on any character into the campaign at all. Did you even buy it? I doubt you did. Now then, I'm not going to say that you're entirely wrong either. Once you hit the 1560 wall, everything goes into a slow crawl mode as far as progress, and the real grind begins, but that is the way this game has always been. But campaign wise, this one is the ONLY one that has held my attention past the first 3-4 weeks of it's release.

I loved it but what made it start losing points when Bungie made the wellspring too heavily focused on it's not a bad mode but the amount of times you have to do it made it ridiculous
