You're paying for the right to access content. They're not giving anything back

Welcome dear customers to Bungies RENTAL SERVICE Do you want to rent a Vex Mythoclast without the hassle of doing a Raid or some other BS? For a limited time only, you can have them all only for $9.99 Why not a shiny new Timelost Fatebringer with curated rolls? $4.99

Seems like a abuse of power to revoke the license from everyone as if we still possessed them we would have the right to demand the content back. And its not as if my money i put it is now a simple dontation it went towards purchasing access on this license and the devs gave a sub par reason to revoke everyone’s license So basically where is my money now? On the license or something else it has to be somewhere I didn’t donate money to Bungie

Any developer has the right to say what's in a game and what goes away. Is it right? Hell no, but they do it anyways
-
That is why the bigger developers want to sell digital copies instead of physical media. That way they can include or exclude content on their own accord without anyone knowing. Same with DLC and day1 patches! Why make a working game when you can release it to the public, let them test it out while you root out the minor bugs and have them paying for it!
-
I still paid for the content, everyone paid for it. The hell did i get in return for them removing what i paid for. Imagine if you bought a TV from a TV retailer and they told you “You can have the TV” but 4 years later they take the TV away because the newer TVs have to come out and too many people have these old TVs. It doesn’t happen in real life because its a terrible market decision despite how much profit they would make.

Edited by Astartes Marine: 11/22/2021 12:59:48 AMThe argument is "you paid to access the content" since it is a live/always online game. Offline games you "own" but online games you're going into the developer's network. It doesn't and never has sounded right, but that's how it is take it or leave it.
-
But this is the how the gaming industry is now all we can do is protest and that's it
-
If more outcry has occurred something would have happened. Where the hell did my money go I purchased the right to have a license and that license is now gone (may be a extreme) either give that money back or give something in return like even a shader

Well cosmodrome is back so sometimes they do.
-
MOST of the Cosmodrome is back, sans the Rocketyard, Grottos, and Devils' Lair approach outside of the Strike. In fact, for some reason the Strike has a more complete Cosmodrome. Figure that out.
-
It never left, it stayed in d1.
-
And we didn't have the cosmodrome for years and what they gave us isn't the same lore wise
