How has this gun gone on so long, without even being acknowledged by Bungie, that it is overpowered?
Felwinters has almost double the one-shot kill distance compared to any other non slug shotgun! Now I wouldn't have that much much of an issue with it, if I was able to go out and use it myself; but since I am new to Destiny, I didn't play season 10, which means I missed out on getting it. This goes for, well, everyone else who didn't play season 10. And because of this, it makes the gun infinitly more unfair.
I don't know how to make it any more blunt than this. Beyond light is coming out, and the game will be attracting MANY new players; and having a staple gun like it, that absolutely none of those players will ever get the chance to obtain before it gets sunset in season 14...like what the -blam!-?
I am honestly lost for words. This should be common sense. The. Gun. Is. Overpowered. SO NERF IT!
This kind of shit would never fly in ANY other PvP games. And although this isn't a pvp game at heart, it still has pvp, therefore it NEEDS balancing!
Once again, COMMON F***ING SENSE! And the argument of, "well you should have gotten it." or "you just missed out. Too bad." Simply does not fly.
Maybe, if everyone who started playing after S10, could time travel, theyI would have told themselves, "Hey, you're going to start playing destiny. Start right now so that you can get Felwinters." Then it wouldn't be that big of a deal... Like seriously! How am I supposed to accept the fact that it is supposedly my fault for not getting the gun? I guess I was just supposed to know, right?
What does everyone else think? (Answers for the poll):
- 1. If you didn't play season 10, you simply missed out.
- 2. Felwinters should be available to everyone, but also be nerfed.
- 3. Felwinters should be exclusive to those who obtained it in S10, but should also still be nerfed.
- 4. Felwinters should be made into a pinnacle quest for The Crucible, much like MT, Revoker and The
Recluse.

Most people here probably own it, so I'm not surprised option 1 wins.

It was a seasonal reward that offered a curated roll for all players which was nice because it severs the same slot and role as Mindbenders Ambition without the RNG. Honestly you have time to farm a god roll QCQ that you might actually like better from Umbral Engrams between now and the end of the season if a strong solar energy shotgun is what you want.

If memory serves me right..I had it in D1..with hammer forged..shot package and aggressive ballistics...it thumped hard...then it got nerfed hard..if it’s anything like D1s felwinters then it was nearly useless out side of the crucible...the slow rate of fire...the horrid handling..I just recently came back to destiny basically in early June so I missed it..I left destiny after they nerfed the EP shotty and to me nothing has changed for the better.

I really wish that I got it... But the game was so bad at the time, I didn't even want to.
-
it’s not OP and if someone missed out that is their own fault.

8 RepliesEdited by Ryan, The Spoil-Less: 9/12/2020 10:42:58 PMTrust me if you had it you'd realise how god awful the consistency is. Seventh Seraph shotgun and mindbenders have more consistency. I can also guarantee you this post wouldn't exist if you actually had the weapon.

Doesnt need to be nerfed. Seraph and mindbenders are just as good. It will likely be back in some way in the future.

Felwinter's lie is a Matador 64 but unlike the latest it was available to everyone by completing a quest, why complaint not using it 🤔
-
Option 1, because the quest was available for over a month and only took half an hour to complete. And it's balanced, as every gun is, but people are trying to use bows and other miscellaneous shit against shotguns so if one cannot counter it, that's their own fault.
