4 RepliesYou don’t see it because it’s not there. They’ve got a mess on their hands. No Endgame for PvP players Prisms / Ascendant Shards when reaching Legend for Valor/Glory/IB Questline/All bounties Completed. Give me a reason to wade through SBMM all week. And the way Quickplay has been feeling lately there is either no one playing or they Ninja SBMM back on in the playlist. I do know one thing, The in game Matchmaking is atrocious. What ever true skill measurements they use they’re way off base. It’s like my teammates forget to turn on their monitors. Making it just frustrating to solo queue.

1 ReplyI entered Iron Banner with a flawless internet connection. The amount of lag I experienced against the McDonald’s WiFi from Mexico in matches made me want to commit suicide. Games were legit freezing in the middle. People randomly warping and reporting around. I’ve never seen it this bad in over 5 years....

The first iron banner I didn't get a single armor piece. This time I got 2 on each characters. Rng in this game is not true rng. It's has fixed odds. I'm positive of this. Armor has a much lower chance of dropping. Add this fake fixed rng to the fact that pvp is super laggy and the match making is horrible and the sand box is horrible and no new loot and you get a horrible IB experience. Oh yea I forgot to mention no one plays the objective. Its so annoying when a match ends with a score of like 125 to 98 or something like that, your team lost, you are at the top 1-3 on your team, you have 7+ captures and everyone else has like 2 or less. Just switch IB to clash already! No one captures the zones anyways. After being in a few matches like this you just say -blam!- it and don't bother either.

1 ReplyThe mandatory quest is a complete waste of time and effort...that needs to be the first thing to go. Next, I'd change the game mode. The whole "survive the hunt" just adds to lopsided matches and mercy rules. The power levels are the next thing that is out of control. The artifact needs to have a cap and there needs to be a way for solo players to get pinnacle drops outside of IB and group activities. I know the argument, "if you don't do pinnacle activities, then you don't need those power levels". News flash for all the idiots who use that as your argument. IB used to be where the community would gather and have fun solo and group players. But now, the balance has completely tilt towards the hard core sweats. Not only do they play more and have a higher artifact power level, they have more pinnacle rewards on top of it. So I try to get some from IB but am so outmatched...not funny, not fun...just sad. Sad all around.

I think it takes too long to finish the 4 bounties and drops outside of the bounty suck most of time so I figured why bother? I remember looking forward to IB, but that was when we got rewards and there were a lot of people playing, But thanks for posting, I enjoy your thread.

1 ReplyI've played 2 matches this season. I usually fill all bounties every time on my main character. The new seasonal model is just not acceptable. I am NOT going to complete a "quest" every season to earn the right to spend tokens and to get armor that will never make a good set. Sure, if I knew my set would be top tier all year I might bother, but it won't be. Every season they increase the max tier level and I'm just not having it. Why masterwork a top tier set to get the most out of it when next season there will be better? It's a 3 month cycle, which is waaaaaaay too short for the grind involved to get that set. Not worth it. I haven't done anything more than core bounties in weeks. Most days I don't even do that much.

I used to really like IB. Even when I thought the rest of Crucible had issues. Bungie did a lot of work to fix Comp and Glory, and I still love Survival, but the 6v6 lists and IB are not fun. I'm not even sure what it is either. Mostly lack if rewards. Randy's was a really cool weapon, but not worth the grind. I could care less about the Komodo. I'm working on it, but LFRs in PvP are not my style. There's absolutely nothing of value in the 6v6 lists for me. IB asks me to complete a quest to obtain the same armor I got back in the first Iron Banners. No new weapons, I have all the old ones, I don't use any of them anyway.

Never bothered playing IB this time round because it'll most likely be the same old crap I'll load in and be matched up against a 6-stack team and players on my team will slowly start quitting out.... so don't see the point in playing the mode until thinks change. It's kind of sad cause I really liked playing IB.

U mean when someone runs by other players or is forced to use a useless weapon like a hand cannon on a console to move a quest forward ???

Introduce harsh quitting penalties Have a heavy focus on regional matching (as a UK gamer I should not be matching people in the States or even further afield), the host has a ridiculous advantage in these situations. Deal with the horrific latency. Why do weapons keep miss firing and people keep jittering all over the place? (I clear my cache and reset my internet constantly in the hope it's my end and not the game but it has no effect at all) We need some QoL fixes as a priority.

Yeah, I just waited almost 5m just to have the match start with 8 people. I backed out since one side will get somebody to join and stomp the other team, after I left that match MM tried to put me in that match 4 times in a row..
