You asked to be kept informed, so here I am.
I mentioned in my last update that we were moving. That happened. Today was the first doctors visit in our new state. I saw a neurologist.
We went over everything that’s happened to me several times, and, like we expected, she prescribed me some medication. I’ve only tried treating my headaches with medication one other time before we had any idea what it was (we still kinda don’t, hence why “concussion” is in quotes.) Needless to say the pills I was given then did jack shit. This time I’ve been prescribed Amitriptyline, a drug that’s apparently an antidepressant, but was also found to help headaches. Apparently it’s no longer used as an antidepressant because it’s outdated but the nurse said the fact that I dodge stress could be related, and I wasn’t prescribed this because it’s an antidepressant, but it wouldn’t hurt anything to try to affect my mood on the off chance it is related to the headache.
Aside from that I was given a couple other drugs to use during migraines, and that’s pretty much it. I was referred to a concussion specialist that I will be seeing in a few weeks, and also some office that studies the psychological aspect of headaches. Psychologically, I’m feeling great, but apparently that doesn’t mean I don’t need to check up with them, as there could be a connection or problem that I don’t know about.
So basically, new doctors, new drugs, same old stubborn “concussion”

Headaches are the worst. They ruin your ability to think and it worsens when you move. Hope those drugs actually do something.
Fades Away
