Their only goal is to survive by overcoming their dependence on matter for life. The Light is currently their best hope of achieving this, which is why they show so much interest in the Light and us. The City may be full of a bunch of ridiculous people running around waving Weapons of Sorrow and spouting nonsense about murdering each other and their leaders “doing nothing for them or anyone,” but Shin only hunts people who actually abandon the Light for the Darkness. Most of the [b]real[/b] Dredgens don’t even do that. Shin never saw the need to go to the City, and (as he told us in his message) will only come to us if we cross the line.

The awoken dreadnought attack is explained: a. Eros asked them to intervene, b. The solar system’s destruction would include the reef so it’s defense, and c. We’ve done favors for the queen like skolas.

7 RepliesFor 3 I would say primarily to give the guardians a way to assault and kill Oryx as because of the weapon firing it wiped out his fleet and left the Dreadnaught vulnerable.

Don't forget about Uldren! I hope we get a cutscene in which he just transmats into the tower, starts to say hello, and gets shot by literally every single guardian there. Gets rezzed, and his Ghost explains things. Would be freaking hilarious.
