Sleeper ammo nerf - why?
Whisper ammo nerf - why?
Code of the juggernaut nerf - why?
Wardcliff coil 110% buff - why?
Machine gun damage to bosses nerf - why?
Nobody was complaining about any of these, Why did all this randomly change for no good reason? It's like Bungie has a generator that picks random guns and picks nerf or buff for it. Totally killed the little hype I had for this Season of the Shitter.

They absolutely did NOT buff the wardcliff coil! I've been using it all morning in pve, against minor enemies and bosses alike and it still takes just as long to kill anything. They are such liars. They said that to curtail customer complaints. Figures. What do you expect from them?

8 RepliesBungie has a strange obsession with trying to make people play the game the way they want us to, not the way we want to.
-
4 RepliesOh they weren't random. Bungie went all-in this season on Gambit. A game mode that a lot of people don't like....find unpleasant and frustrating to play. What do all those nerfs have in common (you forgot the nerfs to QB)? THEY'RE GAMBIT'S META WEAPONS FOR KILLING BOSSES AND/OR PVP. Bungie is nerfing all these weapons in an effort to wallpaper over Gambit's (and I assume Gambit Prime's) design flaws. So instead of fixing the game mode...they break the sandbox so you can't kill the tissue-paper bosses as fast . When what the game needs is SBMM.

52 RepliesAlright, lets break this down 1 sleeper was overused and too strong. 2 whisper is meant to be high risk high reward. Dont miss and you get infinite ammo and insane dps, miss and you should suffer 3 Bungie didnt intend for the super to last so long in PvE. The way they nerfed it will hardly affect PvP 4 Wardcliff was bad against bosses. Only ever used in PvP 5 Machine guns were too good at doing everything. If you werent using sleeper or whisper, you were using a mg. Simple as that.

1 ReplyBecause Bungie continues to be tone deaf to the community. Why? Because favorite weapons that do more damage, or any weapon for that matter means you kill stuff faster. The point? To keep players “engaged”. The longer it takes to kill stuff, the longer you will be online. Sure the engagement time will be just a tad bit longer, but add in player base and it means longer player engaged overall.

1 ReplyEdited by blade329: 3/6/2019 7:03:32 AMI really question the whole point and purpose of this game. Why are we playing to acquire gear that's just going to be weakened? LOL. It makes no -blam!-ing sense. "Yeah, that Sleeper Stimulant that you grinded for days get. Aaaaaahhhn.....we're nerfing it for the third time. It sucks to be you. Well at least you have that Whisper of the Worm. Aaaaaahhh....nope, we're nerfing that too. The whole point was doing the puzzle, not getting the gear. Psyche." -- Bungie Weak crappy mediocre loot will keep the Halo guys happy for a couple of months. Then they will get bored and leave after they figure out they can get the same damn thing anywhere in the video game world. The players that actually want good loot will have been chased away by the constant nerfs. So, who's left? The guys who just want to shoot stuff. That gets old after while and every other shooter does the same thing. So, really, what is the point of this game?

3 Replies1k Voices and Two Tailed Fox got big buffs for PvE, which they needed, as nobody used them really. Khepri's Horn got a phat buff to make it on par with other exotics. Other than that yeah everything was really random. Like they didn't buff Cerberus, Trinity Ghoul, or Lord of Wolves, 3 very underpowered weapons.

1 ReplyEdited by Cinderchar: 3/5/2019 7:22:26 PMThe only one I am upset about is Code, but that's just because it was so much fun to use. I forgot if you get too close to fun Bungie drops the hammer on you.
Back to your chores, children.
-- Bungie

the only one im confused about is code of the juggernaut they should have at least nerfed it and moved the pre nerf version to an exotic
-
2 RepliesHave you heard the word balance? So that's all for him.
-
Feels like random. Where are all these wonderfull sandbox stats? Shotguns do more kills then all other special weapons combined. Sad about the Whisper nerf! Why? The Whisper is only usefull at some bosses compared to other power weapons.
-
2 RepliesYou guys need to calm down
-
This is a great example of Bungie making people use the weapons that feel you should use and not the ones that the players want to use! This goes back to D1. And it is ridiculous
-
Why grind for gear that's just going to get blanket nerfed?
-
Throw them in the river!
-
agree, these were fine. Absolute garbage nerfing and lying by Bungie team again.

Edited by Tulukaruq907: 3/5/2019 11:22:44 PMThe Bungie motto has always been...”If it ain’t broke fix it until it is!” Oh, “...and it’s all Activision’s fault!”

Right now I know Anthem is in the shitter (my xbox hasn't crashed yet, thank god). I know one thing though: I see no PvE nerfs in the future probably cause they want me to keep playing. Lmfao

12 Repliesthey don't buff or nerf things based on only complaints. they look at data. MGs/Sleeper/Whisper were the most common PvE heavies without any close second, just like the Trench Barrell SGs.
-
2 Replies- Sleeper and Whisper were both way overused in PvE for raids and stuff.. Well, Sleeper isn't used as much, since 1k voices was introduced, but it's still used a lot. While I think the nerf on Whisper from 20 to 9 shots is too punishing, it shouldn't really affect its boss damage usefulness, since bosses are usually easy enough to crit that you won't run out of ammo. - Code of the Juggernaut let the Striker's super last too long, specifically in PvE. Had to be nerfed. - Can't answer for the Wardcliff buff, makes no damn sense. -- Same for Machine Gun nerf. Only like 5 machine guns in the game and you're gonna nerf em? No way Thunderlord was being used enough to warrant that, and certainly not any of the other MG's.
-
1 ReplySleeper was over used for what exactly? 9 reserve, d1 whisper/spindle had 13-15. These nerf just made solo challenges harder
-
1 Reply
Code of the juggernaut nerf - why?
I want every roaming Super I use to last indefinitely as long as there are adds to kill and without an Exotic equipped. Sounds reasonable huh?
-
Think about wardcliff for a second. It can only carry a maximum of 5 rockets regardless of armor perks. You can only get 1 rocket per heavy ammo brick. It’s perhaps the most used exotic in pvp, but I don’t see it much in pve.
-
As if wardcliff wasn’t OP already
-
Edited by Hu Shot Yu: 3/6/2019 2:05:22 AMCoil wasn’t used enough in PvP that’s why

Bungie doesn’t listen. Change my mind.
