Everything you earned will be gone in D3
Just like from D1 to D2, im 100% sure Bungie will delete everything again.
Just a heads up for you guys. All our work will be gone and new gods will rise to destroy over and over.
(I would love to see Bungie take on D3 differently than to D2 times. Let us keep one armor set, some cosmetics, emotes, a ghost and maybe our earned titles!?)
I'm still mad that Saladin didnt recognie us as Lords...

I was looking through the D1 art book and saw that the city was originally going to be a giant spaceship thingy. Now I was just thinking about us leaving the solar system to fight elsewhere in the future. If there was some sort of canon number for the amount of existing guardians we could could guess how big the expedition would be. This expedition could weakly explain why we wouldn't have some of our old gear at least. Here's to hoping that whatever's in the final annual pass hooha is important and super interesting.

2 RepliesWithout Activision breathing down their necks to push out new titles maybe D3 will become something more like Warframe, a single entity that grows and evolves without the need for later installments. However, as any good designer will tell you, it's always easier to create something new than to try and change something old to fit new requirements. A brand new game offers greater opportunities to add, remove, and change. At this point anything's possible.

Of course, because new players should want to buy D3 when it comes out. But they won't buy as soon as they find out that a bunch of hardcore players is going to have a 1-2 years head start on them in gear and weapons in a supposedly 'new' game.

Well yeah, it's a new game, that's like saying I could go in the newest Call of Duty at 9th prestige or something like that. So anyone thinking that we'd go into D3 with all our stuff, and I even said this back in D1, don't hold your breath to it, if you are holding your breath to it, let it go cause that's never gonna happen.

To be honest, I'm happy about that. It was fun dropping everything from Destiny 1 and starting completely fresh.

I don't really have an issue with that. Playing another game from scratch isn't exactly an uncommon thing. At the very least though, if they're gonna bring things back from D1 and D2 to collect in D3, make those things to chase in the base game.

I know, i was pissed when i didnt get to keep my rows of suits and mushrooms i aquired at the bottom of the screen from Mario 3 when Mario world came out..

This is among the dumbest complaints I’ve ever heard on here. Might as well not play any other game since you won’t be playing the game years after you get it.

I’m fine with that. Not much point starting a brand new game with 4000 weapons and armour in my vault I’ll never use once I start getting new stuff. Just hope they come up with a good story as to why we start from scratch as far as unlocking subclasses etc. Maybe it’s time to kill our ghost, we die and because we’re sort of like ‘the chosen one’, the traveller sends a new ghost (with new voice actor) and resurrects us again from scratch.
