Without SBMM most people are just getting creamed. So I don't even try I need head shots for a quest I just sit in back and try. I don't take zones don't use my super. I just tank and try to make quest progress. Why? Because I'm over my head so why even attempt to win.
If I was playing with people my skill i would probably play right.

6 RepliesTotally agree. No SBMM makes crucible garbage. But the sweaties don’t wanna face equal comp. They prefer to stomp .5 kd players, and Bungie caters to them.

Edited by シOblivionシ: 10/16/2018 1:38:55 PMLast quick play I was against full stacked team with Luna howl and nova warp padding stats. They averaged 25kd each. How is that fair against a team if randoms with shit gear. The top player had 60 kills with Luna.

10 RepliesThe sweaties are all in Quickplay because when they face their equals or people better than them in comp, their precious k/d goes down.

We all know that this PvP is built for the top 5% and streamers. The matchmaker in this game is a hallmark of stupidity and incompetence.

lol so u play bad intentionally genius

3 Repliesin destiny year 1 when there was no sbmm i was terrible at the game. constantly getting beamed by last words and snipers and it was upsetting. but i decided i wanted to be one of those good pvp players. i played a lot of pvp and by the april update of the taken king i was an above average player. i kept improving and by rise of iron i had the best hand cannon and sniper shots of all of my friends and it was satisfying to see my improvement over time. getting good at pvp takes time and practice, it doesn’t happen overnight. if you aren’t able to improve then you shouldn’t complain. constantly playing against people at your skill level won’t ever make you any better.

It’s so funny a lot of players whine about cbmm and as soon as bungie changes the favor to sbmm the lagfest begins and the outcry starts from scratch lmao :’D. Endless loop like the endless forest xD

Not to mention it's incredibly selfish to not use any advantage or help the team when you're so focused on completing a quest. Best just stay out of Crucible until you fix the attitude. Quit blaming a lack of SBMM when the problem starts with you.

so instead of trying, building up your playstyle, learning new skills, you teach yourself to play worse and it becomes habit. if you were mediocre before training for garbage level play your on the fast track to being a forever loser. progression on quests will happen naturally if you play, trying to force it makes you much more of a loser and target dummy. don't try for it at once just try and play the game, it's not that serious.

14 RepliesSBMM ruins games. CBMM is better

Edited by Doc: 10/19/2018 2:06:44 PMOr try to get better? Throwing yourself at a enemy team is stupid and youll never get better . Ask yourself why did i die , and try not to repeat that mistake . ( first step on the path of git gud )

10 RepliesEdited by Killa Karizma: 10/19/2018 6:00:29 AMCBMM is paramount to anything else. Who wants to go up against other players with a bad connection? I would rather try to play and improve against stacked teams than not be able to play at all.

1 ReplyYup. Sbmm needs to come back. Now. I'll lose all the games until i get to the point where I need to hit fabled. Then care about winning. It's just obnoxious that I ran a 2.0 in most games this morning...and played with .5s on my team. And got matched against people going 4 or 5. Sigh. I would rather wait an extra two minutes for a match that is fair than for one that is a blow out. Because that blowout always favors the other team.

1 ReplyI much prefer no SBMM. I can play against all types of player. I primarily play solo. I’m not saying got gud, but I’m saying that when you play against people who are better, you can switch up your strategy. For example, you start off a match using one set of gear, but you get wrecked. I’ll then switch my style, use different weapons and subclasses, try being less aggressive, stick with the rando teammate. You may not win, but you can adapt and improve on your gameplay, experiment, etc. PvP is exactly what it is, Player versus Player. There are a Lot of people that are better than you. Whether it is because they are in a team, they better reflexes, or whatever. With SBMM, there is not near as much diversity. Without SBMM, I’ll go on win streaks, I’ll get my ass kicked, I’ll get in really close matches, I’ll have fun. But this is all from my experience as a solo player.
-
Are you serious ?! SBMM is the one that goes to kill the pvp currently, quick and comp are in a good spot. Not in the best way, but dosen't even worse.
-
I’m that try hard that destroys those dumb casuals and pve kids 😂😂😂
-
2 RepliesSo that's why I seem to always get sh*try passive players on my team while I solo que. You just sit in the back and dont help, STOP PLAYING PVP THEN!!!!!!
-
That's like me, Telesto trading right and left. Because if I can't win, better to make both sides lose. Bungie might have decided that I'm a cupcake to be fed to the tryhards, that doesn't mean I'll cooperate.

8 RepliesI'm a trash can at pvp. No point saying git gud, coz it ain't gonna happen. Yet I'm constantly facing players with Claymore, Lunas, Not Forgotten, ninjas flipping around who seem to appear, insta-kill me then vanish who have like twenty kill streaks. I mean, why on earth am I being put against these types of players. I don't enjoy pvp much, but I'm trying to learn to like it and being completely destroyed by players who have four kds and win streaks in the thirties is just not right and isn't gonna help me wanna go into the crucible. I wanna play against people around my abilities, who I have a chance against and try to get better. Not be decimated over and over. Its not fun, or enjoyable and can be rather upsetting just getting repeatedly pooped on. I wanna enjoy it but without even a hint of a fair fight, I just can't and will avoid pvp completely. Sbmm would make it so players like me might actually stand a chance and have fun. Currently though, even with the promise of powerful loot, I really struggle to want to pvp.

2 RepliesEdited by Chubbums: 10/16/2018 2:00:30 AMYes please bring back sbmm. I am tired of being punished with noobs for teammates. Constantly losing no matter how much I sweat my ass off only to see my teammates feed kills to the enemy. I loathe the fact the enemy team won not because they were actually good, but because my team was complete utter shit.
-
3 RepliesSome reason I'm always on the losing team even with a positive kdr. But my win percentage is brutal like 20%. Why do they always stack squads against solos. This account is just my grinding account anyway. My second character I'm going to try hard and squad up for pvp and have competitive guns too. Squad v solo is the worst matchmaking possible.

2 RepliesThe major problem with pvp is that destinys pvp sucks ass. Everything about it sucks but i still play it.
-
The best thing you can do, is quit playing. SBMM will not be added back as long as average/below average players keep going back for another stomping. If Bungie sees that their player base is going down, because those less skilled have quit playing, maybe something will change.
-
Yeah just give up, don’t try and get better
-
4 RepliesRecently rejoined pvp, completely crap, I’m 538 going against 580-599, wtf

7 Replies...Let me get this straight. You're saying that you sit back, don't try, ignore the objective, and don't use your super... Holy cow, how aren't you winning every game with those pro strats. To every person you match with, I'd wager they think YOU are the major problem with PvP. You admit that you are throwing games to make quest progress, and you still go on the forums and complain. Do you think your team is going to try very hard to win when they see you, playing the way you just claimed to play? Oh, and for the record, SBMM was added back in a week before the Forsaken release.
