With the changes slowly coming to Exotic Armor, I thought I'd throw in my two cents. Keep in mind, I'll only be talking about vanilla exotics here.

[spoiler][b]Actium War Rig[/b]
- Apply passive reload to stowed auto rifles (and machine guns if they are added)
[b]An Insurmountable Skullfort[/b]
- Grant a second Melee charge for Striker Titans
- Arc Melee kills significantly increase arc Melee damage
[b]Crest of Alpha Lupi[/b]
- Activate health regeneration on barrier cast for you and your allies
- Increase barrier recharge rate when allies are near
- Increase damage output the more people are using Rally Barricade
[b]Hallowfire Heart[/b]
- Solar ability kills recharge Hammer of Sol
- Sunfire Furnace now creates a Solar Aura damaging enemies nearby
[b]Mask of the Quiet One[/b]
- Increase void ability recharge rate when taking damage
- Grant health regeneration on void ability hits
[b]Peacekeepers[/b]
- Greatly improve the base stats of SMGs when wielding two SMGs or an SMG and Shotgun
- Auto reload shotguns and ready them instantly[/spoiler]
[b]Warlock[/b]
[spoiler][b]Eye of Another World[/b]
- Targets are now randomly selected to be highlighted
- Killing highlighted targets increases ability recharge rate
[b]Nezarec's Sin[/b]
- When Abyssal extractors are active, create a damaging void aura around the player
- Abyssal extractors increase Void ability damage
[b]Skull of Dire Ahamkara[/b]
- Void Grenade and Melee kills recharge Nova Bomb energy and increase resilience temporarily
[b]Transversive Steps[/b]
- Reload all weapons after sprinting for 1.5 seconds
[b]Wings of Sacred Dawn[/b]
- Increase airborne accuracy greatly
- Precision hits while airborne burn targets
[b]Winter's Guile[/b]
- Add a chilled effect to enemies hit by Melee
- Melee kills increase the duration of Warlord's Sigil[/spoiler]
[b]Hunter[/b]
[spoiler][b]Celestial Nighthawk[/b]
- Take the final three rounds of golden gun to make a powerful shot, allowing for a total of 4 shots with way of the outlaw
- Increase explosion radius and damage on golden gun kill
[b]Foetracer[/b]
- Increase low health threshold from 30% to 35%
[b]Knucklehead Radar[/b]
- Mark targets through walls within 40 meters after aiming down sights for 6 seconds
[b]Lucky Pants[/b]
- Increase duration of Illegally modded holster
- Add in air accuracy bonus for handcannons
[b]Orpheus Rig[/b]
- Increase Moebius Quiver duration when tethering enemies
- Tethering enemies increases shadowshot damage output
[b]Raiden Flux[/b]
- Grant super energy on Melee multi kills[/spoiler]
Those are my thoughts. I'd like to think these are some fair changes that could change up the way we play.

As a Warlock main, I like the ideas that you put for Wings of Sacred Dawn and Winter's Guile. Nobody ever uses them cause they're pretty much useless with all the other better choices you've got for Exotic Armor. Now if Winter's Guile was a team based exotic which stacks melee damage with other Warlocks who are using it on the same team...then I think we have a winner!

I like your Hallowfire idea. It promotes a cyclical nature to the Exotic beyond just "charge Super, hold Super".

1 ReplyI don't think anything should activate health regen. Instead just restore a chunk of health. That goes for Worm Husk as well. Celestial Nighthawk should always make Golden Gun a one shot, unless you give it two options like with Suros Regime's fast/slow fire modes. If there's an exotic armor piece that grants increased in air accuracy I'd hope every class gets one.

Void Aura Damage... Guy, I'm still waiting for Actual Auras. Not this Halo Aura crap. Can they not put in PERMENANT auras to the game and not these limited time ones. How cool would it be to have Lightning arcing around your body AND you can change the color (for free at anytime) Or fire Or Earth (rocks/gravel) Or Water Or Flies And so on... Let use select what parts we want the auras on. Like Flames only coming from our Eyes, or Fists. Anyone who has played City of Heros knows what I am talking about.

to be fair, none of those buffs are exciting at all...most of them would be placebo-ish, well, i guess you can work at bungie, since they are really good at doing borring perks for exotics. even tough some of your ideas are good, like the actium war rig or nezarec's sins. highliting targets/marking targets is borring, unless its for a great ammount of energy any exotic that is about helping recharge your super or abilities is borring. i wouldnt change my exotics loadouts for any classe with those modifications, current exotics dont only needs buffs, they need a rework.
