I’d better reach under my seat and find a set of car keys. Bungie needs an Oprah moment to save it now.

2 RepliesHonestly? I've already pretty much jumped ship. All this stream will be is words... and frankly the problems with this game now extend beyond simple communication with us. Communication was needed 2 months ago.. followed closely with action. Instead we got some communication with a "promise" of action way further down the line and by this point the community has run out of patience with it. I'll play out my Deluxe Edition. I have a couple of friends I do enjoy playing with very much. But past that? Bungie has seen the last of my preorder $$$. Maybe the last of my $$$ period.

4 RepliesI’m about to claim that Luke Smith touched me just to get him to resign from Bungo.
-
5 RepliesAll luke Smith is going to do is get up and do his show pony routine and say noncommital stuff about how they are looking into it. They may announce a couple of changes to the economy but not really anything new because, in D1, every new DLC changed up the economy. Destiny 2 has some major gameplay issues and worse yet a major Bungie management issue. From what I have been reading, This entire mess with D2 from the game to the lie's is all on Luke Smiths head. He did what he wanted with D2 over the objections of most employess. If you didn't agree with him, then you got locked out of meetings. Sounds like a real POS boss to work for. So yea he will give the stream but I bet he will not answer one thing directly. Its his style.
-
Well, considering they pulled the live stream... I guess we know the answer was "break". If they as much as got on video to even string five words together it would have been the end of the company. So they canceled it and instead are going to poop up a carefully written document from Bungle Legal that describes kinda sorta what they want to do about fixing the game, careful to make the fixes sound immediate, while not actually giving a time line so when they don't actually do anything, nobody will have a legal argument they lied...again...
-
5 RepliesWait they are letting Luke Smith speak in front of a camera and people are looking for this to be a good moment? Man we are in deep shite for sure.

17 RepliesThe problem is that the kind of changes needed to make the game better cannot occur in the short-term because they have to effectively overhaul systems that are hard-wired into the game's DNA, such as static rolls, the dual primary systems, the ability recharge rates, movement speeds, etc. They can fix the loot system by scrapping tokens, but unless they have RNG roll guns back, people will just get the small handfuls of new guns really quickly and be done with the game in mere hours. Unless they completely rework the subclasses, our playstyle choices are going to still be restricted, etc. I agree with you, this may be a make or break moment for the game. But there's no rabbit in their top hat that can substantially change the trajectory of the game. Those kind of changes can only come with a COMPLETE overhaul/rework, which likely won't occur until sometimes 2018. Think about it this way. If Bungie has to reboot the game AGAIN in 2018, that will be its third reboot in 4 years. Does that kind of record inspire confidence that Bungie has a -blam!-ing clue about what they are doing? Yeah, me either.

I thought that bungie did the following things on purpose: - create elitism by giving the coolest sh*t only throu hard to finish endgame content. -leaving puposely room for op weapons and subclass setups so we can find‘em and be op for a week or two, then they nerf it, and after they patched op weapon and subclass set up it was time for D2. - i thought they knew that how your guardian looks and poses is important to the majority of the players so they put in prchaseble -recreate your character- and -different poses for your guardian in your inventory screen- And i thought i figured them out ... because i said to a friend when mida (at begining of d1 the weekest exotic) is the meta were colse to d2 ( or a gigantic sandbox update) so we can start with the fun again... ... but i think now ... D1 was good by chance ...

3 RepliesBe prepared to wade through an ocean of carefully crafted PR-Speak
-
Lol - live stream isn't happening. They cancelled it yesterday.
-
Not happening. We have to sit this one out and pretend the changes announced in Season 1 never happened so we instead have to have a little recap.
-
1 ReplyBill can we get your opinion now that its been cancelled?
-
1 ReplyIt’s funny, after 2500 in D1 I always had great memories and always came back for old times sake. I don’t play D2 anymore but I like to keep the hope alive, the only problem is when I think of returning to D2 it just makes me so angry. They need to change a lot which I don’t think is realistic
-
1 ReplyI think its beyond saving unless they can make some major core changes and Im not sure thats possible without starting again.
-
Well... its not a livestream anymore... but yeah, this "blog" is make or break for D2.
-
What live stream??? Lmao
-
2 RepliesI do believe Luke didnt want to answer community questions.... so its cancelled. Man I was really looking forward to that stream.
-
Even Bungie is starting to loose faith , they are going to answer questions now on what will change in december. Luke Smith himself will be doing that, we all know how he is when he is in the spotlite. Will be very interesting to see what will happen , scripted questions, or some real pain in the butt ones. No stream, they could have done both. This looks like a panic reaction, damage control at its finest. If you are a developer you should do these things on a regular bases .
-
It’s cancelled, lol.
-
Unlikely.
-
What live stream? Bahahaha

Edited by CatMan: 11/28/2017 10:22:32 PM.... so break it is? Warning: don't.....get.....hyped.
