While MIDA isn't the best powerhouse weapon to use in PVE, it is back to that perfect place of being able to flinch Yellow Bar enemies and serve a huge purpose in an effective end game activity. It's also an explorer's dream weapon. Move faster, jump like a gazelle, and pop the heads off enemies with a smile on your face.
Since it isn't full auto and it has a just slightly on the edge of annoying pop-up recoil, there are other guns I swap to for large encounters. And the scope is unforgiving in the up close battle in both PVP and PVE. But I LOVE my MIDA just the way it is for PVE.
In PVP, when in comes to teams stacked with it, you just have to close the gap quick and take the fight to them. There are plenty of guns that can put shoot the MIDA if you are smart enough to get inside their optimal range.
So stop it with the salty tears there kids and learn to overcome your weaknesses. You'll be far better players for it.

Mida is one of the highest usable (light/power) weapons in most people's inventory at the moment. There's nothing broken about it. If we had more options besides breaking it down or using sturm this topic wouldn't exist.

I love the META Multi Tool too. I also loved that 2 shot kill hand cannon thorn and The Last Use of Skill. No Skill Beyond was also pretty great. Remember when Special Ammo Breaker and sidearms were also used normally. Good times.....
-
The Meta Multi Tool has always been one of my favorite guns (for years now) and it'd be a damn shame to see it nerfed.
-
Don't hold your breath. Bungie will nerf it probably soon. This is the same thing that happened with Syros regime year 1, was awesome in pve, sadly overpowered in PvP and they nerfed the crap outta it
-
The Drang makes mida users my B*tch.
-
Idiots will cry like always. Noobs.
-
Already crying through fear his crutch is going to be nerfed 😎
-
3 RepliesApparently they, Bungie, can fine tune specific weapons in different areas. So they could turn it down in PvP without effecting PvE.
-
Bungie nerfs anything that is overused, so don't be surprised and start making a crying ass post about it. Gun isn't OP just annoyingly overused cuz scrubs don't know how to explore other guns.
-
No more nerf please! Only buff stating from Bungie's servers lul
-
In trials, my team only lost to full team Midas. As of right now on of it's main apps is "Noob Carry Tool". Gut the thing, it's too easier to obtain and too powerful in PVP. I'd be okay with a weapon like Ratking being OP because it's a bitch and a half to get but Mida, lol no.
-
1 ReplyThe mini tool is better
-
I love it for pve as well in my opinion it's ruined by the crucible because everyone abuses the weapon shame but that's how it is
-
2 RepliesPeople using it because of radar and how it works, you think anyone would use if it didn't have radar activated? Nope. Blame bungie for how it works.
-
I'm honestly surprised they brought it back with all the cry babies in D1
-
Guess I won't be able to play with it before the nerf hammer breaks it. Infusion system is already a language I can't learn and now instead of waiting to grab it around 280+ It can just sit there forever.
-
6 RepliesIts not OP. It does the same damage as the D1 mida did. Its overused
-
It's not OP I use it, if the opposing player is more skilled of course you might lose. I'm not great at PVP far from it. And I have lost countless shootouts with it and against it
-
It's fun but seems way underpowered like most of the weapons in D2. Easy to counter in pvp as well. The cool thing about nerfs in D2 is that they are unnecessary because all the weapons are so close it doesn't matter. The cryhards are aptly named, however.

Thank you for this post. You are spot on accurate.
-
Mida + Stompies + Greater Height jump is hilarious.
-
I just wish they had multiple scope options, on a gun called the "multi-tool", I feel very limited in which engagements it'll be effective in, pretty much mid to long range only
-
5 RepliesLol if it's op it's getting nerfed. This Is Balance
