MIDA Multi Tool is a FUN PVE weapon - Crycible whiners need to stop before they ruin it again
While MIDA isn't the best powerhouse weapon to use in PVE, it is back to that perfect place of being able to flinch Yellow Bar enemies and serve a huge purpose in an effective end game activity. It's also an explorer's dream weapon. Move faster, jump like a gazelle, and pop the heads off enemies with a smile on your face.
Since it isn't full auto and it has a just slightly on the edge of annoying pop-up recoil, there are other guns I swap to for large encounters. And the scope is unforgiving in the up close battle in both PVP and PVE. But I LOVE my MIDA just the way it is for PVE.
In PVP, when in comes to teams stacked with it, you just have to close the gap quick and take the fight to them. There are plenty of guns that can put shoot the MIDA if you are smart enough to get inside their optimal range.
So stop it with the salty tears there kids and learn to overcome your weaknesses. You'll be far better players for it.

Ehh someone's weapon choice in crucible never affects me. Just adapt and see what happens. Although I do let out a little laugh when I see a team of 4 rockin all Midas in quickplay

You know thats not going to happen. I used it and for some good kills but that's also when I aimed for the head as well. It does massive damage when it got the head so if anything don't let line of sight be a thing. But then again you have to worry about the mini tool if you get to close

There are at least 3 legendary scout rifles that outshine mida alone. And as far as the mini-tool that people also complain about, it's actually mediocre at best. If they nerf the midas, I won't stress about it at all.

As always MIDA is great for PVE but everyone in PVP use it and spread it like cancer. Then again you can shut them down easily with a AR or SMG.

MIDA is probably so prominent because players haven't branched out and used other weapons. There are far better legendary weapons than mida.

PvE does Not "need" a Meta change every single update. But, because Bungie's sandbox can't handle separating the 2 modes know they are 2 totally different game modes. There cop out for biting off more then they can chew is saying... "We want everything to work the same across the entire board" So guess what? Mida is screwed because of the PvP gamers and the woulds greatest sandbox that loves to use their little chart that shows what's used the most. So what that means boys/girls is it mist be nerfed...

Maybe everyone just hasn't found a favorite yet? I like the Vanguard scout better than Mida myself, but to each his/her own. Haven't tried Trials yet but in regular Crucible I see way more bullet hose... I mean Auto rifles in my experience so far.

People are overreacting. It has a slower ROF and a lackluster impact. It doesn't even feel like its speed perk works as well as it used too, even when equipped with its companion, Mida Mini Tool. It also doesn't feel as stable as it used to, but I could be wrong. It's underwhelming and I'm a little disappointed to be honest. I was looking forward to using it again. No biggie though, I'll find something else, but I'm still disappointed.

It's not even overpowered in pvp. It's overused, but it's easy to counter and there are plenty of scouts and other weapons that counter it well.

I've started calling it the Mida Meta Tool. Regardless of whether or not it can be easily countered, many people are using it successfully. We'll see how Bungie "balances" this game...

2 RepliesAgreed. We've heard this "nerf MIDA meta-tool" argument before in D1. MIDA is pretty much the same as D1; a legendary weapon with one extra perk. I get the feeling they [b]diluted[/b] the Anti-Oversampling perk and Aim Assist stat a bit but I could be just imagining things. Lightweight + 3rd eye does not make a gun stellar, just accessible. There are many, many more devastating guns to run up against in PVP. Leave the poor gun alone.

I don't use it in PvP and I don't mind going up against it with any other scout rifle. I don't care either way if it gets nerfed.

Edited by WarPig403: 9/17/2017 2:03:36 AMYour definitely right but we should blame the developers for bringing back this powerhouse of a gun and making it so damn easy to get.At least if your gonna bring a really good weapon like this back at least make the quest really difficult.Now the crucible is going to be dominated by this weapon as we have already seen.As well as them lying to us saying no weapons were coming back from the first game.Inevitably it will get nerfed.Also bungie need to separate PvP and PvE balancing for gods sake ignoring there own fan base so the weapons can be "consistent" (sighs) is a dumb reason.most things that have been nerfed in destiny's life cycle have been because of PvP besides like black hammer,and gjallarhorn.But that's very few and far between.

Yeah, they better not nerf the MIDA, freaking love that gun. I sure hope they wouldn't bring back high caliber rounds just to take them away again, but who knows.

I dont know why people are complaining, i have about 3 other scout rifles that i prefer to use over the mida, and can a lot of the time outshoot mida, but it is a good weapon if you know how to use it.

3 RepliesI definitely don't want it nerfed but it should have stayed in year one. Explain to me how crucible is supposed to feel new and fresh when everyone is running around with Mida. And since there are basically no good PvP exotics Mida is the obvious choice. Coupled with the fact that Mida is the only gun with third eye it's cemented in the meta already. It was a little different in year one because there were so many viable PvP exotics but there aren't any in D2. Bringing Mida back was a huge mistake and it's already getting annoying.

They don't nerf anything because we ask them to. They nerf things because their stats show an outlier. If most guns are used this much, and one is wayyy up here, they'll bring it down so people start trying other options. And I will admit, given that this is a more campy and team shooting game now, the range of a powerful and consistent headshot machine of a scout rifle becomes the META
