If Destiny is rated 16+ Why does the dialogue seem like its aimed at 10 year olds?
"Vex milk waterfall"?? Why cant the ghost give me some lore about what radiolaria is instead of making stupid jokes about it looking like milk.

Like this game is about adventure and growing to be a guardian again and getting stronger and ghost is always in the background complaining or talking about dumb small stuff. In the inverted strike, hes freaking out about going into the drills - like come on...who wrote that script. Thats such a turn off for players.
I really wish ghosts lines were more useful or helpful or at least encouraging and empowering. In halo, cortana was a strong, resourcful AI which gave such a boost to players. With her guidance, you felt empowered to fight.
Ghost just doesnt feel like a great companion for success. He's funny yess and cute at times, but his voice sounds like a 10 year old whining most of the game.[/quote]

All the characters have different personalities. It would be exhausting if each character was just as stone-faced and serious as the last. Breaking up different personality traits and splitting it among the various core characters is a good way to keep interactions fresh. Your Ghost is excited about seeing new things but also wants to stay away from anything overly dangerous. A massive cascade of Vex Milk? Who wouldn't be excited about seeing that? Of course the Ghost wouldn't want to dive headfirst into an active drilling site. Seems dangerous.

Eh, my complaint is with Gary. The deep villain voice they used sounds so cheap and typical. But it's not a real issue, and I just wanted an amusing bane reference.

6 RepliesWould you rather have terry crews voice your ghost. When your barrier gets hit as a titan he yells "Block!! Block!! Block!! Block!!.." for the duration. When you hit with nova bomb he yells "EXPLOSIONNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!" When you activate arcstriker's super as a hunter he says "Oh man, my guardian is going take this staff and shove it right up your A$$!!"
