Fo real, even if it's the worst game they've ever made it'll still make a billion first week XD

I mean that can be credited to liberal advertisement practices. What cannot is that there were more sales of RoI than the Vanilla game.

Edited by wolbeas: 2/16/2017 9:35:42 AMTo be honest, if destiny was released today it would make the same impact it did when it came out. The issue is players who left the game raging out will think more than twice to come back. I am not even talking about more dedicated players like us forum users, but the real casuals that picked up the game and gave up on grinding, running the same strikes, LFG problems, single player problems and so on. Dont get me wrong, I take breaks but I still play Destiny, I just gathered my beloved ARs last night to try them out which was exiting to see that I didnt fall below 1 KD with an AR after not playing for months. However, the real casuals I mentioned will not know about the changes but will remember the reason that the game made them quit. Therefore, the sales might be slightly lower than D1, but that would be still a great success as Destiny isnt COD and not released every year. That is my 2 cents, but I am excited for D2, not for the new content, nor the guns and armor, but it will increase active player numbers dramatically. No matter what anyone might say, I belive that playing with people fresh to Destiny who hasnt suffered what we have by loving and playing this game might bring some positivity to the game and the forums where I have been seeing angry posts every where. I am disappointed not to see any best AR pools, ways to tell newbies how to get Shadow Price, and sorts.

a lot of people that have left destiny will not coming back until they see the rite change. i had 13 co workers playing. now none of us do, I just stop by to see if there was any buffs yet.....

Than all these kids will whine after they cave a week later and no one wants to carry them xD.
-
It will if bungie doesnt enact course correction and fast. If they keep up the same act in destiny 2, kiss it goodbye.
-
Nearly everyone that buys d2 will have played this
-
People also said the same thing for Trump being president. D2 isn't automatically going to be some monster of a game unless Bungie caters to their players. Don't assume the game is going to do great just because Destiny had good sales.
People also said the same thing for Trump being president. D2 isn't automatically going to be some monster of a game unless Bungie caters to their players. Don't assume the game is going to do great just because Destiny had good sales.
I never claimed the game would be great. Don't stretch my words. I said it will sell. And it will. There's no doubt about it. Anybody saying otherwise is naive. Going to ignore the nonsense politics people keep trying to bring up on a videogame forum.
-
Sure the game will sell, but that doesn't mean the game will sell as good. That's my point.
Sure the game will sell, but that doesn't mean the game will sell as good. That's my point.
Will it set another record? I can't promise that, that's an extreme level of preorders/sales to reach, and I never claimed anything to that level. But it will sell huge. That is the undisputable fact here. Don't forget, this game still seems on point for the supposed PC release too. That's going to increase sales massively. Especially because Activision games are on Steam. And we all know Activision has one hell of a marketing team.

Did you say the same about Titanfall 2 and Watchdogs 2? How about Assassin's Creed Syndicate? Battelborn was made by the same folks as Boderlands, so I'm sure that will be a big hit.
Did you say the same about Titanfall 2 and Watchdogs 2? How about Assassin's Creed Syndicate? Titanfall 1 wasn't that big to begin with and the community died incredibly quickly, the opposite of Destiny, so...irrelevant. Watchdogs 1 had huge backlash before it even launched, Ubisoft doesn't even have as big of a name as Bungie or Activision, and the general hype around Watchdogs 2 was basically non-existent, also irrelevant. Assassin's Creed has become less and less popular with every iteration, isn't even a shooter game, focuses primarily on singleplayer and will never hit an audience the size of Destiny nor will it ever have that kind of lasting power with constant iterations of the title coming out every year or so. Another weirdly irrelevant example, not sure where you are going with this. Let's try the next one.
Battleborn
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Destiny, released to mediocre reviews, lost 80% of its population in a couple of months, dragged on for 3 years without much new content, and had competitive multiplayer sullied by lag and balance issues.

And it scored pretty high across the board, lol. Try again next time.

Edited by Ibex: 2/16/2017 1:04:10 AMI bought into the hype of D1, and that was foolish of me, no denying. It is now little more than a social app with a lazy FPS running in the background. If you can't conceive me getting what I can out of D1, yet not being a big enough fool to buy into D2, then you are just the type of person who D2 will be made for.

See you on D2.

A wounded and predictably simple minded response. My charity is exhausted. Goodbye.

Edited by grrrund: 2/15/2017 9:47:52 PMWAY more people would have voted for Bernie. That's because Bernie is the SHIT. Warren seems good too. I'm wondering about Warren 2020 :). Did you know Trump has already started his 2020 campaign? This way he can collect contributions for as loooooonnnnnng as possible.. -blam!- him. :D
