Did destiny invent Supers?
Did destiny invent the ability of a very powerful attack that charges the over time?
Games like CoD and Overwatch have taken from his, but did destiny start the super ability?

2 RepliesNo, no, no. That idea is so old I cant even think which game had it that first. A lot of fighting games used similar mechanics, as do many RPG's, and since it is technicaly a big cooldown ability, almost all hotkey MMO's.

Overwatch took most of its power design from games like Dota, TF2, and Warcraft. Not from destiny. "Supers" or "Ultimates" are as old as gaming.

If you spent any time during your childhood at an arcade, you'd know that there were games older than you in which you activated super abilities.
