I have played as a titan from day one. Recently, I decided to play as a hunter just to switch things up a bit and to collect some old weapons (murmur). All I have to say is that I have mad respect for hunters. I've died so much lately due to the lack of amor that is crazy. Maybe is my lack of experience with the character but shit is tougher with a hunter. Fosho!
Edit: just to be clear I'm talking PvE. I don't play much PvP. I just dabble in it.
Edit: I'm not trying to start a class war here guys. My intent was to show appreciation for other players that can use a character with a different play style. For some reason, I just don't feel comfortable playing as a hunter. Titans suit my play style better.
Edit: Stats don't mean nothing to me. Ever since Activision quit giving out achievement badges in '83, I haven't cared ( video game crash of 83. Look it up and learn your gaming history). Yes I'm an OG gamer(odyssey 200, coleco vision and atari 2600) and I'll play until my hands fall off.

I never notice the differece in armor for the classes. Ttk does not change.

7 RepliesI love my hunter, ad right now, he looks like a sith Lord... which is ultimately dope! But yeah hunters aren't hard mode destiny, but I'd prefer you have exp before make him the main

Get yourself a celestial nighthawk and wait for airborne to roll around in heroics again ;)

Status quo in crucible is not impressive. I took my armor down a ton on my voidlock and run much more agility and recovery now in crucible as armor simply doesn't win battles. Hell during a super i barely have any armor anyways unlike a void hunter. I play all three characters at 400 in crucible each week but i see and have always seen more hunters in crucible.

7 RepliesYou talk like armor actually makes a difference.

I notice zero difference between all three classes.. I never understood why people make such a fuss over this

Finally someone (besides ourselves) appreciates us. Good on you for trying new things and being positive. As a hunter main, I can confirm that we are squishy, but what people don't understand is that just because we are squishy doesn't mean we can't get things done.

Hunters are so fun in PvE :D
-
Dude... Never run low armor

3 RepliesI'm Banshee 44, and I'm the Tower's Gunsmith. I work here with my old friend Cayde 6 and my ghost, Big Ghoss. Everything in here has a story and a price. One thing I've learned after 44 resets - you never know what gun is gonna come through that door.

19 RepliesHunters best skill is going invisible and running away from the fight.

Some of you guys are funny a hell. I love this community so much.

Well said, my squashy friend.

You're still learning how much damage you can take that's all, once you level up Nightstalker you'll be fine.

2 RepliesTaniks has no House. He kneels before no banner, owes allegiance to no Kell. He is a murderer, and very good at what he does. I have been tracking him since Wolves broke their chains, yes? Now Taniks works for Wolf Pack...but not for long.

Just spec on armor and you will feel no difference...

I guess you haven't used Nightstalker yet. Insanely overpowered for PVE if you set it up right. You can tether a bunch of enemies and hit 1 with Raze Lighter and they'll all explode. Now try that on the steps in the Undying Mind strike and you can crash everyone's game by making so many orbs and exploding so many enemies at once. XD

thx :)

I definitely die a lot more frequently when I play my hunter. They're fun though.
-
I still main golden gun, even though trips and throwing knives took a hit I still find them effective, I personally like to run backwards while being rushed by a shotgun warrior and throw a knife at their face
-
I play all characters equally and switch between favourites. Currently it's Hunter that I'm maining, Golden Gun with Bones and a Counter balance - Icarus - Rifled Barrel Fusion with Hawkmoon is just too good.

3 RepliesEdited by Boss: 1/12/2017 4:44:34 AMWell, I don't mean to brag but, i am the best Hunter around (obviously) I am the most skilled with knifes and I look the most frabjous.
Its a joke. Calm down.
I'm leveling up a titan and it's the complete opposite. It's actually relaxing I love it.

Edited by zNapSack: 1/12/2017 8:29:45 AMLearn to play to the strengths of each character. Fight your fight, not the enemies fight. Hunters should rely on speed and stealth. And with their great jumping ability they can be very mobile. Use that to your advantage. For example, hit and run tactics often work well. And when equipped with the right armor and perks their ability to go invisible, albeit briefly, can give one a significant tactical advantage, especially when used in concert with the above. I felt much the same as you when I first played one. It was my third character. But now I love them. I like all of them for different reasons because each has their advantages and disadvantages.

Liked your post and glad to hear you can enjoy this game in a different way. I used to main a hunter but I've been 400 on all 3 for so long I don't consider any of them a main. That being said I've found warlocks the easiest for pve, titans the easiest for PvP, and hunters I have to utilize manuvering tactics to capitalize in PvP and in pve I never stay still. Seems I'm able to dodge enemy fire and be all up in the mix without much stress. I constantly hear from fireteam members, how are you not dead? I think enemy a.i. Have a much tougher time tracking the trajectory of a hunters jump on top of pinpoint turning. Throw in the artifact with no sprint cooldown ability with Frost-ee5 boots and have a good time.
