23 RepliesMy kid coming out and telling me that they're gay is far different than telling me they believe they're a different gender. In the former, I would support them fully. In the latter, it would depend on how old they were. If under 18 or still living with me, I'd tell them they have some growing up to do to make a decision like that. People that go through that change end up changing their minds all the time.

1 ReplyHi gay, I'm dad.
-
1 ReplyWon't disown them. I'll just wonder what did I do to make this happen. Am I a bad dad?

Edited by Heroic Vigilant: 5/7/2016 8:20:28 PMSon "Hey Dad, I just thought you should know that I'm gay." Me "You tell your Mom first?" Son "Um, no." Me "Should probably do that before she kicks my ass for not telling her. Also I'll have to convince her to have another kid." Son "What's that mean?" Me "Christ boy go tell your damn Mom already!" Crisis averted

14 RepliesI don't hate. I don't want them to go to hell. I just simply disagree with their lifestyle.

Doesn't matter to me, you can love whoever you want
-
2 RepliesGive him a hug and tell him I love him. And that it is great that he is who he is, and to never be embarrassed or ashamed to tell me anything. I love my son. The only thing I want for him is to be as happy as he can be in life. That's my only goal for him.
-
"Oh, that's cool". And I'd go on with my day.

1 Reply"Hey dad I'm gay!" "Son, I don't care where you put your dick, ask your mother what's for dinner."
-
2 RepliesI'm kicking his ass out of the house.
-
1 ReplyI plan to not create a negative stigma of this topic for my kids, so if they are gay/straight/bi etc. they hopefully wont feel pressured into revealing their true selves.

1 ReplyI got two boys, i dont give a shit if they are gayer than 8 dudes blowing 9 dudes. But i will tell them DO NOT become a furry or a brony. You take that mentally challenged shit out of my house!!

6 RepliesEdited by Sûr: 5/6/2016 8:28:36 PMI would just say: K. Don't get hiv. If they say they're one of those people who think there's like, 60 genders, then I'll pull down their pants, put them in front of a mirror, and say "You. Are. A. Boy/girl. Deal with it." If that doesn't make them sane again, I'll disown them.
-
If they're gay then I'm like "Kewl. So what?" If they think the need to change their physical body I'd give them an explenation why they shouldn't.
