Omfg Sniping!!!!
Ok. So what are everybodies opinions on snipers in this game?
Do they need a tweak?
More of a nerf?
Balancing in general?
My opinion is that with a skilled hand. They should be OP. But the aim assist is just too high sometimes. Makes it wayyyy too easy.
But not with all snipers. 1000 yard aim assist is probably the best. It has high aim assist. And can res snipe. Personally I think only exotics should be able to res snipe. Makes it slightly more fair imo and makes you trade off one of your exotic primaries to do so.
And the fast fire rate some have is also sometimes bad. Yes you blow through ammo. But it's not hard to obtain it and body shots do far too much damage in my opinion.
I don't know. I don't want an argument. Just let us know down Below what you think needs to happen or maybe doesn't need to happen?

Edit::: please don't just talk about the aim assist guys. I replied below on a few as to why I used 1000 yard stare as my example. But I want you to give opinions on the overall weapons. Not just 1 single one. I'm not calling for super nerfs. Maybe just flinching buff. That's it. But that's just me. That's it.

you must be new to the forums welcome. I do like your idea with the exotic only to res snipe, but that would make a lot of changes they may cause more problems

They are balanced but everything else is so weak they are the best option. I think they are pretty annoying and it makes for slower games

The thing is that it's the only one right now so everyone pays attention to it. The meta allows for both shotguns and snipers to be effective now. The higher TTK allows snipers time to react and the shotguns aren't god mode. The res snipe argument makes me laugh. You died once and without snipers it's a pretty easy pass back to life.

1 ReplyIm one of those snipers that people hate but whatever. Lower all snipers AA to a base AA Give us more variety in snipers, without AA the base stats on snipers will be what makes them unique. You'll see less people that can consistently snipe but you will still have those people that can pull off godly shots. This is my best proposal.

I don't really seem to notice a whole lot of free kills from aa. Occasionally I'll get a kill that I know should have missed but I do good with the low aa snipers as well. Well, as good as I normally do. However I think this whole sniping while jumping bs should not be able to get kills. I mean really..jumping to see over obstacles and getting sniper kills...that's just frigging stupid. That's worse than super long range shotguns.

Play black ops 3 for a few hours. After the 24th time a guy manages to no scope dome you while hes boost jumping all over the place... You'll [i]NEVER[/i] complain about snipers in crucible again.

Some of you may not know this don't call em dumb or something I'm quoting Mtashed he said that in patch 2.0 flinch and aim assist were nerfed so it was easier to snipe in year 1 than it is now in year 2 the reason why everyone's complaining is because they're too dumb to realize that it's everything else being bad not q thing being too good

Shortgaze should not provide more aim assist buy I think hidden hand should provide like 5 or 10 not 15. The reason why snipers seem OP is because shotguns can't snipe anymore

My son is 8, and when I let him screw around in the crucible the only gun he can consistently get kills with is the 1kys. Tells you something. I snipe too, so I'm not trying to be hypocritical. But sniping is pretty easy in destiny.
