Why is everyone so upset about SWBF's $50 season pass?
I don't understand why so many people are upset about this. Let me explain why.
So for the past couple of installments, Call of Duty's season pass has been $50 with about four map packs each. Also, Battlefield's premium has been $40-$50 and the most recent Battlefield Hardline's premium has been $60.
So what's with the sudden uproar about SWBF's season pass? This has been going on for a while now and I don't understand why people are bitching about THIS season pass in particular.
If anyone can offer any insight, I'd be glad to hear it.

2 RepliesBecause people are sick and tired of being sold incomplete games and being charged to complete it. I'm down for doc, but when its pre-planned it gives me a feeling that the product isn't finished. The more they see their profits go down because of this sales practice then maybe we can see full complete games in the market again.

I'll go to season passes I've bought. -Destiny Season pass, $40 fot shitty content -Halo 4, i believe $20 for maps i rarely played -Gears 3 $25 for 3 map packs (one was in a way free) and a great 2-3 hour story add on -battlefield 3 and 4, got them all at a discount price, I'll never spend over $40 for a pass -Borderlands 2, 4 dlcs for $30, I'd say this was the best past imo

4 RepliesIt will split this community that will already be dying by the time the first expansion/ map pack comes out. The game is fun and it brings up happy memories of Star Wars but it was wearing off by the time the Beta ended.

Well they said they wanted this to be a more casual game for Star Wars fans, then they give us a $50 season pass like every other hardcore FPS. Lol they use different excuses based on what benefits them more... Kinda the definition of EA.

I don't play the games you mentioned so the price point was shocking. And a little crazy. Then again I've been throwing money at Destiny since Day 1 so it's not like I haven't spent that much (and more) on extra content.

1 ReplyPeople of a certain age have zero issue throwing money at the screen for classic Star Wars. Its a shrewd, shrewd move. Imagine the uproar if Jar Jar playable hero is part of the season pass though.

1 ReplyProbably because certain games like Halo 5 and Rainbow 6 Siege will have microtransaction to fund for free DLC maps. While games like Battlefront and CoD BO3 will have microtransaction with paid DLC.

1 ReplyPeople are mistaken in believing that DICE owes them the DLC content as part of the game. The DLC likely is not finished yet, and even if it is, it should be sold separately. People are claiming that the base game of content is not worth $60, which is ridiculous. Not only have they not yet announced everything included in the base game, the amount of content is "worth" far more than $60. The rights they have to pay Disney and normal production costs have to be made up somehow. All of that is objective, my subjective stance on the situation is that people need to stop being entitled bitches.
