Kicked from raids because of my light level
I'm tired of trying to get past Golgoroth when everyone either kicks or leaves me because of my 291 light level. I'm a decent player and I just want to get through the raid ;(
Edit: I've gotten to Oryx with a good team but had to leave because of work. To be clear I was being kicked before I even got into the party or game.

Dude people don't want to struggle. Sometimes these guys need to get other characters through so they need strong guardians for damage. Not everyone can b carried at the same time.

Haven't attempted the raid yet due to so many schedule conflicts. Finally going to try tonight...we have 3 open spots right now My only requirement is you be at least 290 light and enjoy playing with people that like to make jokes. They should kick you after death singers not after golgoroth. But even then you could always be the runner for oryx

Make your own raid team or go back to neopets. You can use this app to whine like a 5 year old girl but cant figure out the lfg section?

290 is raid recommendation, I don't know why 300 is all of the sudden the requirement for the raid. I was 288 when I started running the raid and we were doing fine, I was able to hold the left plate on the war priest by myself with no issues. Still gotta run Golgoroth but that's due to time and life balance, not ineptitude.

2 RepliesMagbe the fact that you're trying to use a shotgun for dps on gorgoroth or because you don't stand in the puddle to dps (i don't kick people while I'm gaze runner but i do get annoyed when i see that a dps'er did 400k while his 3 teammates did 3-3.5m

1 ReplyThere's been teams with low 290's beating this raid. I'm only at Golgoroth like you but this is so raid mechanic heavy- it seems the only way to defeat things is to have lots of communication and teamwork. It makes their light requirements irrelevant in comparison. Depending on what I use I'm 291 or 292 and I'm the lowest out of my 6. But since we are willing to communicate like the raid needs we make it work. Eventually you'll find everyone who wants to give it a try.

If you're skilled you would be ideal for a gazer. Lower light players, and or weaker weapons can do that part just fine. Only problem is it's probably the hardest part so you need ability

Some people just want to do it quick, and make easy excuses to do so along the way.

If you are any good at distracting, do that. Your level makes no difference and you are not missing out on any DPS. Highest players should be down in the pit sniping for max DPS. I never distract because I am one of the highest in my group. It also just doesn't fit my playstyle.

I was 290 and everyone in raid team was below 300 and we did it also without a Titan

1 ReplyMe and my wife (Rathmara) are having a hard time at golgoroth because people try explaining things and don't know what they are talking about. I may not have beaten golgoroth but I have been watching videos and have a decent understanding. Try explaining raid mechanics to someone hardheaded and thinking they are right about everything.
