Anyone else find the ToO Recruitment posts a little intimidating?
A couple of my buddies are away on vacation, so I went to the Recruitment tab to find a ToO team. I'm average at best and don't play a lot of PVP anymore. I was just looking to win maybe 5 games, enough to get a new helmet. Not looking to go flawless or ruin kids days. Just wanted to have some fun.
The more post I read through, the more discouraged I got. Almost every post had the strictest requirements to join.
- Must have exotic ToO emblem
- Must have Thorn, Matador, Sniper
- Must have gone flawless in weeks past
- Must know the map like the back of your hand
- ect ect ect
The lists went on. I didn't want to join anyone and have them get pissed at me so I just left and ran some bounties. Is there anyone who just wants to play for fun and not have go flawless with a 17 k/d lol. Where are of those players? Are there any?
Just kind of wondering if anyone else is in that same boat when looking for a ToO team. Thanks and enjoy your day!
*Edit - Just wanted to thank everyone for the great mature responses & positivity! I've read every response and it looks like the best thing to do is just make your own post. To those of you offering to help me and all the others, you are the real heroes! I hope to pay it forward someday as well just like you have! Game on Guardians!
* Edit #2 - A ton of us are in the same boat! There are lots of people in here looking to team up and dropping GT's! Add them! I'm on Xbox One and my GT is leedy5. I'd be proud to play with anyone in this thread! My awesome (sarcasm) Time Warner internet is down today, but I'll be on tomorrow after they come and fix it!

Exactly the same experience here. And if you think you've found some players they just leave after you lost one game I mean not everyone can go flawless guys. For every flawless passage there have to be at least 7 teams who lose their game

We figured to fastest way to get him a legendary was to get to ToO lvl5. We ended with 8-1 (lost the final round too, so close to 9-0 awww). Anyway, the goal was to get to 5 wins, almost got to lighthouse lol. Must have been humiliating for a few peeps, he was sniping pretty good, to get owned by a guy with a blue helmet and a bunny emblem, lol.

I don't buy into self entitled elitism. That's all it is, "I went flawless so I'm better than anyone who didn't." I wish it was possible to pear into some of these same peoples real lives. I'd bet heavily on the fact that going flawless in a video game (non reality) is some type of major highlight in their meek and meager existence. Just my two pennies.

I couldn't care less about pissing off some random person in LFG. Hahahahaha Personally, I wouldn't use those sites, I rather not have to adjust my playstyle/setup just to "fit in" those groups.

I know what u mean. Best thing was 6-3 for me my buddies are pve guys. Im not bad at pvp but the final round snipers are -blam!-ing me up. I didnt even try to find a group at lfg or forum because of this elitist bs. I just wanna have fun :D
