Five weapons that can help against thorn in crucible
After seeing so many people complain about thorn being too op and needing a nerf(even though it doesn't need one)I've decided to compile a list of weapons that could outclass thorn in a PvP battle.These are personal experience and weapon stat based.
These are in no particular order
1.Red Death
This exotic pulse rifle has great range,impact and rate of fire.It can kill guardians in [b]two[/b] bursts,which would easily outclass thorn.It will heal you after kills,so it negates the DoT.Easily one of the best PvP weapons in the game
2.MIDA Multi Tool
Underestimated by most of Destiny's community,this beast can allow you to strafe easily and land crits.It can fire quicker than most other scout rifles,and with it doing about 55 crit dmg per hit,it can take down someone's health pretty quickly.If you have the aim,this thing will wreck in the right hands.
3.Spare Change.25
Carbon copy of red death.Except frees up an exotic slot.Kills in two bursts,and has great range and stability for a pulse rifle
4.Vex Mythoclast
While at medium to long range this gun cannot perform well,at close it's an absolute beast.Its high impact of a fusion rifle and it's fire rate proves it to hit hard.Since most of Destiny's maps are close range(example:Cauldron,Pantheon,Anomaly) it tends to have an easy time on most maps.Run with it and you will most likely win all of your 1v1s in crucible
5.Almost all Osiris exclusive primaries
These weapons are awarded to people who go undefeated in trials,and they're definitely worth it.While also being stellar PvE weapons,they have proved themselves in PvP.The jewel of Osiris has better stats than thorn(other than rate of fire)and can defeat it at close to mid range.The messenger,from what I've heard,behaves similarly to red death.Meaning that it can easily kill you in 2-3 bursts and it can fire quickly.The scholar is just another hard hitting low recoil scout rifle,which agains like the other two can outclass thorn.They were built for PvP.
Hopefully some people realize that there is more than one way to skin a cat,or that you can beat thorn without thorn

Certain rolls of Timurs Lash is a two hit head shot kill. I have perfect balance, zen moment and luck in the chamber on mine.

2 RepliesVex no....mida(which I love btw) has a slow kill rate. If the thorn user is any good you have no chance. Hawkmoon and red death can hang that's it.

2 RepliesI will destroy any of you that try to take me and my thorn with any of the weapons listed. The only chance you have is the gjallarhorn. The only gun that could win is the vex in close range. Thorn dominates mid to long range. A great player with thorn will beat a great player with any other primary like 90% percent of the time. All the guns listed are situational or if the thorn player is of lesser skill to the other person.

Played a game where every firefight with this one guy who was using Thorn was out gunned by my Scholar.

2 RepliesThorn's range easily outclasses that of any other hand cannon, except Hawkmoon. Thorn's recoil is easy to control once you get the hang of it. Thorn kills with 2 shots to the head. Red Death kills in two burst, but all shots must land on the head, not easy if your target keeps moving. I main scout rifles in the crucible and I find myself on par with Thorn at a distance that should be reserved for scout rifles and Sniper rifles. Bungie gave hand cannon a range nerf, but it is clear Thorn wasn't hit.

Thorn is easily beatable but I feel all 2 shot weapons should be made the 3, this is not call of duty

24 RepliesRed Death? It competes, yea. However, you have to hit headshots. They're vital. Nope. MIDA is good, but it's not in the same tier as Red Death, The Last Word, Thorn, Hawkmoon and Vex Mythoclast. Ultimately, you'd have to be facing a pretty poorly skilled enemy for MIDA to compete with Thorn. Vision of Confluence? No. Come on. Vision is not better than Thorn. Barely even competes. Vex Mythoclast definitely competes. It's not better, but it is definitely a top tier weapon. The Osiris weapons don't compete with Thorn. Except for The Scholar. That thing appears to be amazing.

Lol your are saying heel of Osiris and the summoner are better i agree with scholar and messenger but not multi tool and mythoclast is too close range VoC is iffy
