How do YOU deal with Bladedancers in PvP?

If my FoH is up, I destroy them. If not I run and die.

1 ReplyI usually die. It is very satisfying when you are able to take them down without a super before they've gotten an Arc Blade kill. I also didn't realize that it was possible to punch a dead guardian's helmet off. The tea bagging must have loosened it up.

1 ReplyFist of Havoc. You hulk smash them back to their spawn point. But there's only so much you can do. There was a match where I wondered if I was in a Bladedancer convention.

Run. If they follow me without getting to me I usually turn around then shotgun them as their super runs out. Otherwise it's Fist of Havoc them.

Edited by orthow: 3/23/2015 2:34:08 PMTBH I'm still learning how to properly deal with them.. I use GG when available.. beyond that I attempt to get the hell away until it runs out. After reading this thread I am going to try the shotgun and melee combo to see if I can survive the bladedancer encounter.

3 RepliesEdited by Valkyrie: 3/23/2015 12:19:31 PMWell, Arc Blade is a super so most of the time you will die. But, I've managed to kill 2 in a row before with the help of another teammate. Shoot from a distance with your primary, throw a grenade, switch to a shotgun or Plan C, and then melee if they are still alive, all while backing up to extend distance. Sometimes you'll get em, sometimes you won't. You have to land all those things fast though which isn't always easy. But, it's supposed to be like that. A super is super for a reason (if you have heavy, it's a bit easier as a heavy machine gun can kill them pretty fast, especially with a preemptive grenade, and a well placed rocket will end them all the same).

grenade between them and myself, if they close to fast, shotgun melee after they take the grenade damage.. if they're far.. primary until it's melee time

A shotgun and melee at the right time will kill them. They should've made a similar medal like in halo "bullthrough" where you get a medal for killing a bladedancer while he swings his sword towards you. Maybe also one for during the activation of fist of havoc and nova bomb.

Run like hell or keep bouncing around until they run out of juice. I'm a Bladedancer and I've noticed that shotguns are good at stopping me even in the middle of an attack.
