Give me a reason to buy the Hard Light.
I'll start this by stating I'm not an exotic collector and I do not like high RoF auto-rifles. I've seen the Hard Light in action and while I think it's a cool gun, I'm far more comfortable with virtually anything else in my hands. Especially after the AR nerfs, I can't see any reason why I should part with 23 strange coins. I also only play as one character, so getting 18+ strange coins a week is out of the picture for me, making me think even more so that skipping this purchase and hording my 50+ or so coins for future content is the better choice.
Unless I'm missing something, I'm going to pass on Xur all together this week. Does anyone have any reason that could possibly sway me? I want to buy it, just because it's an exotic weapon; however, I really can't see myself using it in any practical situation.
Re-Edit: I bought it because it was shiny and goes "pew pew."

It looks sweet, sounds awesome, has good perks, can be useful in tight spaces. Collection hoarding, exotic shard if you don't like it. Grimore points. You never know, it might be viable again.

It sounds beautiful, I do believe it can shoot through one layer of a Titan WoD, (probably without the perk that increases strength and duration) with max stability IMO it can wreck faster than Suros and it causes your screen to be shaken a ton when being shot at.

Hard light was my first exotic and I maxed it out and have learned how to use it pretty well...that being said though it's not that great other than when fighting swarms of weaker monsters like thrall or dread. High rate of fire clears them quickly and large mag size helps with this but other than using it in first part of crota or on oracle's I hardly touch it anymore.

I wouldn't buy any AR right now unless you are hoping they get buffed back to normal in the future.

You can buy it in case it gets a buff in the future (remember red death people?), but right now the gun is pretty weak.

6 RepliesI used my last 23 coins on it. Hoping it's better than my alr96-40 overkill AR which is my no1 for pvp. That has 100 stability not sure if I use stagger rounds I'll get that with this.

Well.. it [i]was[/i] the most elusive AR in the game for me. It looks, shoots, and acts different from most ARs in the game to date. It's one of those guns where no one really talks about or even has, I wouldn't trust anyone's advice, especially on the forums, trolls and negative self entitled people are here for the large part. I would get it... I mean... you already did.
