Unfortunately, This Game is Over.
While Destiny has expanded over two of the most populated genres of Video Games (Competitive FPS and FPSRPG), this game is over. With Battlefield Hardline coming onto the scene this week, it brought with it the first well-balanced platform for competitive FPS since the Xbox 360.
And if that isn't enough to completely empty out the Crucible side of Destiny (as if the bullshit patches haven't already ruined it for us), Borderlands is coming out for the next generation platforms next week. And that, as Bungie would put it, would be the final NITC. The amount of players that will be going to a true "Loot and Shoot" game will empty out the rest of Destiny's player base.
Sorry Bungie, but maybe if you had put out a game you had actually advertised, as well as a game that lived up to thee hype, maybe you guys wouldn't have been brushed to the side like you have been.
Regardless, Thanks for the hours of fun Destiny, I might be back if you do something exceptional with House of Wolves, but until then, Goodbye Guardians.

1 ReplyI honestly think this is why currently is starting to sell good/new weapons lately to get people back into playing. Once Bloodborne comes out my copy of Destiny will start collecting dust. Just can't take all the bullshit in the game anymore.

Battlefield is meh. I played the BETA and it was boring, AW has better MP And I am primarily a PvE player(has evidence by my negative k/d ratio), so BF Hardline won't ruin anything for me, I will still be grinding on and on.

For some Battlefield might kill Destiny, but some people like me, will continue playing. Every time a new game that is somewhat similar to Destiny comes out I see a post that says it will kill Destiny. It never does

Borderlands, fun for a month. Battlefield Hardline, drive/fly to action, die, wonder what the -blam!- happened.

Hardline feels like an add on to bf4, and how the class's system is set up pushes me away from it, beta was okay but nothing more. Never played a borderlands game for more than 5 minutes. Plus I'm the kind of person who plays multiple games at the same time. Just because I get a new game doesn't mean I'll stop playing my other ones. Like currently I'm playing bf4, Destiny and Xenoverse. And now with bloodborne coming out soon I'll have to add the to my list
