House of wolves too late?
Ive got a sad feeling that i wont be holding on until house of wolves... Not enough to keep me involved.
Edit: Obviously i can play a different game, I do. The point is I enjoy Destiny and hate to see the lack of diverse content push me away. People clearly dont think hard enough about what somebody means when they question whether or not to stick with a game thats been promoted with 10 YEAR REPLAYABILITY.
Seriously, this is addressed to the people aggressively pointing out the obvious. We all know there are new games to play, but Destiny should not be dying so painfully for launch players.

Last November I took the entire month off of destiny to play dragon age, I came back as soon as the dlc dropped on December 9 and haven't stopped playing since. Though at the moment I am thinking of finishing dragon age.

1 ReplyGotta say everyone loves hating on guys like this but I agree. This game is getting horrible. I'm literally playing for Gjallarhorn but the nightfall gave me strange coins again. I have received the shattered vault cloak almost every week from the gorgon chest and have yet to get an exotic from Atheon to drop. Crota gave me thunderlord after 7 weeks of energy but I'm sure I'm doomed for 7 more. I'm just over it. Destiny really isn't fun anymore and if I hadn't bought the season pass Id probably have just returned it by now.

If i have to wait an extra month to get new content and with as few glitches as possible, I'll be alright with that.

4 RepliesIt isn't as if they just STARTED working on HoW's day and date that DB came out. In fact, they were working on it LONG before launch and if the truth ever surfaces, I believe that most of How"s was done before launch, but Activision demanded that Bungie disect their game in order to offer it up piece meal style. THUS, the freaking DLC season pass brochure right there in the retail box. Most games may have a Season Pass, but few have the future content named, much less the next TWO pieces of content named, which should have made everyone a little cautious. The fact is, the music for HoW's for instance is already done and will be the LAST thing we hear from Marty O in regards to Bungie anyway, and Destiny 2 was already in the works BEFORE launch and admitted as so in November. The fact the DB DLC was broken just shows Bungie didn't have their priorities straight at launch. I think honestly much of this has to do with Activision, and I personally think it was an awful choice to go with one of the WORST profiteers of the gaming industry, the worst being EA. With all of that being said, for what BASE game we have which was obviuosly a shell (Gunsmith being useless past 20, parts of game obviously missing, etc., etc.) I have thoroughly enjoyed Destiny with my friends and have racked up about 800 hours or so on three characters, as well as bought the game for PS4 as well. I truly have great hope for Destiny, but every month Bungie seems to dampen that hope more and more and make me think EVERYTHING I want to see happen further in Destiny will unfortunately happen in Destiny 2.

I would rather they take their time and release a good DLC than if they just release some half ass DLC that isnt nearly ready. PLus if your bored you can always just take a break until HoW comes out, which should be in the next couple months.

haven't played in 2 weeks. this is also my first time checking the forums. best decision I've ever made. I'll give HoW a week or two to win me back and if not I won't spend another dime on Destiny until I see epic ratings for one of the sequels.

I do what weekly content the have for all 3 chars then play madden or dragon age it's not a game you can grind day in and day out once your at end game

Try diff games and put aside destiny for awhile. Then go back when HoW release. I bet you will feel hyped again for 2 weeks or so. Its not expensive its worth it :)

6 RepliesI think everyone is overlooking the fact that this choice shouldn't have to be made. However, Bungie is really in a lose-lose situation at the moment. If they release HoW in May or June as speculated, then a lot of people will stop playing the game due to the lack of content. Yes, some will come back but you cannot assume everyone will. If they were to release HoW in March, which is what everyone expected, it would surely be buggy and as big as a disaster as TDB

As others have said, just occupy your time with another game if you aren't feeling completely enthralled with Destiny. There's nothing wrong with taking a break every so often. I took a month off for Dragon Age Inquisition & now bouncy between that, Destiny & DBZ Xenoverse.

Then play something else and come back. Nothing is stopping you from enjoying other games. Bungie won't accuse you of cheating on them if you tickle your fancies elsewhere.

You're allowed to play multiple games. I already bought HoW so I will be returning. Plus, who can turn down experiencing a new raid?

3 RepliesWhat do you mean "Holding On"? Is the game going to uninstall and return itself to where you purchased it? Just go play something else for the time being, and come check out HoW when it releases. If you are burnt out, you could likely use a break anyhow.
