The red death has been and is still one of the rarer weapons in the game. I know that it took me quite a while to get it and there are a lot of people I know that the red death is their only exotic they need to have them all. But what's the point of going out and grinding the raids for hours every week just so that you get this rare amazing weapon and then a couple weeks later everyone has it and so therefore the fact that you earned it means absolutely nothing. The xur should only have items that are common exotics. And so now I'm not going to be able to play pvp because everyone will be using the red death now. Please consider the fact that people have done all this work to get top notch exotics for them to just get sold by the xur. It's pretty unfair to the people who've worked for it for so long and got it in a drop.
Please don't misunderstand what I am saying I am glad that people are able to get exotics I do rates for fun and love to see people get exotic said they didn't have that isn't the part that bothers me. What bothers me is that they're almost giving away The weapons that are good and relatively rare to get. And when you do that there's no fun in playing the game because when you already have everything you're going to get sick of the game very quickly.
A very good idea for the xur is to have him sell a specific list of exotics that are only received by buying them from him. Therefore we have no controversy about's people spending long amounts of time to get weapons and then someone else buying them. If the xur only sold exotics that could only be gotten by buying them from him that saves a lot of trouble and a lot of arguing.

I think you're a little too interested in what other people are doing in this game. When we play games, are we not just looking for an experience? To have some fun? It sounds to me like you're playing this game so you can tell everyone that you ran X many raids and have these guns that they don't have. Who cares what other people have? You're gonna feel better getting a drop than by buying it, and you'll have that memory to keep. Is there more too it? Is your life improved in some way because you have a gun that other people don't? It seems to me you should play the game your way, an not worry about what everyone else is doing. Have fun, kick back, and stop stressing so much over the details. It's a game.

Dude stop whining that he sold it, not a big deal
-
Because there are noobs. It's not your game neither so yeah they can sell it. I've got almost 500 hours and I'm not crying.
-
2 RepliesWtf is a "common exotic," they all have the same drop chance.
-
Finally got my first from a nightfall drop,20 minutes later xur is selling it lol
-
Well, he did kind of sell it months after the game came out.
-
4 RepliesI just bought mine. I will especially enjoy killing you with it in the crucible. Cry about me buying it. Do it! By the way, played since launch day, never dropped for me. Didn't care to buy it before crota hard mode came out and wanted a way to heal myself. hell yeah i bought it. And i hope everyone else buys it too. And hope they all equip it in front of you and dance. And private message you that they played for 3 weeks and bought a gun called red def cuz they are so green they dont know what its called and they still got it while you had to "work" so hard for it hahaha. If this game is work you need a new game. And probably a job.
-
Lol it was never rare.
-
Exotics aren't earned. They are random. I also "earned" all the strange coins to buy it.
-
5 RepliesIt was sold 3 times....not so rare. People just didn't want it until the patch
-
Ok well this may just blow your mind but red death was only rare because pulse rifles sucked so no one used it. You know how I know it wasn't rare this is the 3rd time xur has sold it. So how about you save your long winded rage posts and special snowflake syndrome for when xur sells gjallahorn or a gun he hasn't sold

Fix your grammar with Microsoft Word. Lot of sad folks out there will try saying your argument is invalid because of poor grammar, simply because they usually have nothing to bring to the table to disprove you/debate your point. I do agree that only certain exotics should be sold at Xur but randomly, an exotic from outside the normal loot table should pop up. I am happy to get red death simply for a health regen for raids. I couldn't give a shit about PvP though. I just needed the gun for crota hard. beyond that, meh.

5 RepliesWhen I read the words 'earning' and 'working' with regards to a video game I am not sure whether to laugh or to cry. Get a life Kid then you will know what these words mean
-
1 ReplyIt is not surprising that a person with both "swag" and "Yolo" in their username would also be a complete tool. Thank you for conforming to naming standards.
-
Yeah, RNG is earning it. In my opinion, it would be more accurate to say that you EARNED the coins needed to buy the weapon, because they are guaranteed. I got my Plan C from a nightfall, doesn't mean I cried when Xur sold it. I was happy that other people could experience it.

Edited by MissFoxyRubyRouge: 3/13/2015 8:35:57 PMBecause Xur is agent of the nine and he is epic!!! Enough said and he is competing in this years favorite destiny character poll he's got my vote RED DEATH FTW!
-
We see this same basic post every time Xur sells something for the first time or sells something he hasn't sold in a while. Get over it.
-
.. Send them home crying. The Crucible is no place for mercy..

1 ReplyYou know what dude, just because a crap ton more people can now buy Red Death doesn't actually mean that all of YOUR hard work has gone out the window. I got Red Death from the Gorgon chest in the Vault of Glass, and I'm always happy to look at MY Red Death and think "I got that in one of the harder game modes in PvE, and I didn't have to spend a single coin". I feel like I really earned my copy of the gun. Am I a little disappointed that it's no longer a rare gem in the community? Heck yeah, I almost never saw anyone with it, and that made me feel really cool and accomplished. You know what though? My father has played the game since launch with me, he's done the Raid and a ton of Nightfalls, and the only Exotic he's gotten out of all those that was worth a darn was Thunderlord. He wants Red Death, and he has been playing just as hard as I have been; so why should he be denied a chance to snag it? Just because everyone else has been able to buy Red Death and it's become one of the more common Exotics doesn't mean that how you came by the weapon has become invalid. Quite frankly, why does anybody give 2 fvcks about how other people get their gear? People are just gonna have to muscle up and freaking deal with it, because in truth this is just a video game and how other people play doesn't affect how YOU play, and vice versa.

got it from chest. Love it. Xur definitely should not have sold it because lots of people worked hard for it like me (my first exotic weapon) just so people don't do any work and get it from xur for a freakin handful of strange coins. As I said before, it is an amazing weapon which is worth all the hard work. It makes Crota's end much easier if you have the perk. I do not want to see xur selling that flesh ripping, bloody awesome looking, killing machine again. Thxs for reading and see you at the tower or in my adventures in the universe of Destiny. PEACE!
-
I'm glad that the red death is being sold as it means so many more people will be competing in the iron banner as they think having a 2 burst kill pulse rifle will make them op in pvp. To all those crying about the impact releasing the red death will have on PVP I have this to say. No weapon can ever compensate for map knowledge, strategy and play style Stop your whining and start your grinding
-
4 RepliesWhy not?
-
I finally got mine after all these months in the Vanguard Roc playlist just to find out a few days later it's offered by Xur.

7 RepliesReasonable access to to content is better than the perceived prestige that comes from having digital items that other people don't have. This is even more true in an environment featuring random drops. My friend who dropped the game shortly after launch, came back and I carried him through two runs on Crota's End NM... He obtained all the gear that he needed to get to level 32, while another friend of mine who had been playing the game twice as long had ran the same dungeon 14 times and was still level 31. There is no earning anything with RNG. You can only position yourself to get better drops. Positioning yourself can come from skill, or piggybacking on a player who has done the work for a carry. You are either a complete fool or a troll who will stop at nothing to complain about destiny at every step. The silver lining here is that if you really are ridiculous enough to complain that Xur sold Red Death...then you have learned a very important lesson in life, the things that you own don't make you special... It's what you do with those things and to be gracious for the things that you do have, mind your own business and not worry about what other people get or have.
-
So by your logic are you pissed when you get a faction weapon in a nightfall? I think not cause I don't see any crying about that.
-
Because bungie just gives away all the guns that are worth anything
