WHY WOULD YOU SELL THE RED DEATH?!?!?!
The red death has been and is still one of the rarer weapons in the game. I know that it took me quite a while to get it and there are a lot of people I know that the red death is their only exotic they need to have them all. But what's the point of going out and grinding the raids for hours every week just so that you get this rare amazing weapon and then a couple weeks later everyone has it and so therefore the fact that you earned it means absolutely nothing. The xur should only have items that are common exotics. And so now I'm not going to be able to play pvp because everyone will be using the red death now. Please consider the fact that people have done all this work to get top notch exotics for them to just get sold by the xur. It's pretty unfair to the people who've worked for it for so long and got it in a drop.
Please don't misunderstand what I am saying I am glad that people are able to get exotics I do rates for fun and love to see people get exotic said they didn't have that isn't the part that bothers me. What bothers me is that they're almost giving away The weapons that are good and relatively rare to get. And when you do that there's no fun in playing the game because when you already have everything you're going to get sick of the game very quickly.
A very good idea for the xur is to have him sell a specific list of exotics that are only received by buying them from him. Therefore we have no controversy about's people spending long amounts of time to get weapons and then someone else buying them. If the xur only sold exotics that could only be gotten by buying them from him that saves a lot of trouble and a lot of arguing.

xur is supposed to sell any exotic weapon and you get mad when he sells a good one not many people have red death so bungie needed a larger audience to test it out in IB so to people who buy it and use it in iron banner good you're helping them improve the game

Ha ha ha ha, he sold it before. And it wasn't good before, so now it's a good weapon so everyone needs to have it. Now if only bungie would sell thunderlord and the hard light, then he would of sold everything. But he should sell ghorn so everyone can have it too.

You do realize that no female will ever drop her panties because you "earned" any particular weapon in a video game, right? The weapons are completely random. Your long-winded complaint make me glad that Xur is selling it.

This is just me, but I'd rather see Xur sell the exotic than someone popping in at the last minute during a nightfall, vanguard roc strike, raids, or weekly and have one drop for them.

If we all had the same loadout on pvp it would then come down to pure skill, i dont care what someone else is using or how they obtained it when i shoot them in the face with my now broke vex and they go down with their now buffed red death all i know is they went down. Its all earned and rng simultaneously, its so obvious you earn the rng roll you get lucky with what that roll rewards you there isnt one without the other.

I buy from xur all the time but it was way to easy to get all the exotics in this game with him in the mix and it's made the game feel like there's nothing left to Do. If there was tons of exotics and not a handful it wouldn't be such a big deal . From what I've seen seems to me like all you need to do is the weeklys and eventually you'll be able to buy them all haha

3 RepliesThis was Bungie giving the middle finger to those people data mining them constantly. No one predicted red death. I saw universal remote, I saw maybe mida multi tool, but red death? This kills two birds with one stone. Shut up the whiners who complain every week about xur and his bag of dicks inventory and stop the data miners. Boom goes the dynamite.

It saves me strange coins. If you win a car in a random drawing from a casino, and someone else that you don't know turns around and [i]buys[/i] that same car off the lot, would you feel the same way?

Why is selling it bad? I see people complain about it in the forums in PvP, so the choices for fixing that seem to either be nerf it, or give more people access to it (so they can fight fire with fire). I'm sure you'll be much happier with your Red Death functioning at a high level, and the opportunity for balance in PvP is put back in the hands of the players. I see this as a win-win maneuver for the community.
