When I get killed by an "OP" gun in Crucible...
Instead of screaming NEEEEERRRRFF! I say to myself DAMN!, I gotta get me one of those!
Anyone else feel like this?

It's either that or "jeez this guy is wrecking shit" The biggest problem is most people have this weird complex that they're really good and in order for anyone to be better than them they must be cheating or using an overpowered weapon, and this pretty much sums up ANY multiplayer / competitive style game, (COD, HALO, LoL, DoTA....etc)

For me it's the passion to destroy that wielder every chance I can in the match because he uses an op gun.

14 RepliesI've never felt like someone killed me just because of their weapon. I never whine saying "its not fair! I would win of that player didn't have that gun!" Instead I realize that their current loadout and play style are neutralizing my current loadout and tactics. So I either change up my loadout or tactics to match. With how many weapons people claim are over powered, chances are you have one of them. So use that weapon instead of bitching about other people that do.

11 RepliesI need more skill and knowledge to do better in the Crucible, not buffed or nerfed weapons. A low level weapon can be used just as effectively as any of the top-tier legendaries or exotics by a skilled player. In fact, I don't bother to see what killed me but I do notice a skilled player when I run across one.

I got me all of those - my weapon of choice is last word - it's the only primary I have found to counter shotgun & fusion rifle users consistently - I use a sniper along with it cause it's range is horrible. Been finding lots of people using thorn - I remember when thorn had the slowest reload ever. Even with chains of woe reload sucked and a messily 6 rounds. Now everybody who has one is using it. I could use it. I have one, it does take me out against my last word at range - I am a vengeful player though. You kill me with thorn and I'm coming for you! My last word will indeed have the last word ;) Nerfs are for losers who don't enjoy a challenge, don't know how to adapt, and who want everything handed to them

Got vex Got suros x2 Got Hawkmoon x4 (sharded 2) Got The Last Word x5 (sharded 3) Got Truth x2 .. 3 chars at 32 and i stayed away from crucible and even i do crucible... i only played for fun..and .... my k/d is NEGATIVE. Now nightfalls lately giving me shotguns so far.. but i discard some. I think Bungie is telling me.. dude... play crucible more!! Yeah.. i have no skill at crucible.

Yes! This is why I ground out Iron Banner to get the Felwinter's Lie, then ground out a bunch of motes of light to get the perfect roll i wanted, so that I would have exactly what I wanted. No complaints when I get killed by one b/c I have one too!

It depends on the gun. Hawk moon is very powerful, but there are not "THAT many" out there, so when I get killed by Hawkmoon I think to myself "I wish I had that." BUT With other very Powerful guns that everybody and their cousin has- ehrm VEX, *cough cough* Vex- the PvP environment gets ruined because the room for tactics or close calls diminishes massively and everything turns into one-shot killing which is just not fun. So yeah, it depends on the gun prevalence.
