Edit 1 : lol, some of you guys bring back joys of first time completions. i should upload something along the lines of a 30 second video of me typically getting nerve wrecked, counting my slams out loud, running too early, running too late, screaming the code word for downing crota, getting into heated debates about how the bottom strat was either good or bad and eventually how our team mates would start playing the blame game. keep up the comments people!
Edit 2 : having ghorn isn't enough of an excuse guys!!! Any rocket or Lmg will do as long as you consistently work crotas shield off
Edit 3 : apparently Euphoric Blaze believes anything other than a ghorn will NOT take down crota.......with his 96 raid completions, i'm sure he's seen it all!!!

Edit 5 : now that we know there will be no raid......crota anyone? Hahahaha, time to wipe the dust off that sword.

Have done a couple times on normal, but every time I try hard mode Crota clowns the -blam!- out of me... Last night alone he: 1. Didn't drop to one knee after his shields went down then splatted me while I was stood beside him invisible 3 times 2. Got up almost straight away after only 1 slam, and splatted me twice, 3. (C)Rotated early twice 4. Managed to splat me when I was well clear of the centre platform and should have been safe 5. Chased me all the way inside the crystal room and... You guessed it... Splatted me! Don't even get me started on the Swordbearer and the shenanigans he got up to! I can certainly understand why anyone wouldn't want the job....

5 RepliesSimply put...90% of raid teams don't have patience to work with someone who wants to learn sword in earnest. Crota isn't fun and people want a quick transaction. Having 5 people wait on 1 guy isn't fun and puts pressure on 1 guy to get good quickly. Early on people were patient when we were all new with crota. Now it's in and out. No time to let others learn.

Depends if im on my hunter or not since I havent practiced yet with the other two classes ( also they're not 32 yet). Although I dont see why I wouldnt be able to do it those two since I did it without blink strike on my hunter for awhile because I wasnt comfortable using it. Other people's excuse may be not having a team willing to let them learn. I know once I got my first kill with the sword I didnt want to go back to shooting rockets.

5 RepliesI've tried it twice now because I happened to be the only 32 hunter in our hard mode group. I explained many times I hadn't learned the sword but they figured with my class and level Id be fine. Well, lo and behold, I was terrible! Haha. They got frustrated quickly and either left or switched characters. If I could just find a group with some patience, I'd LOVE to learn. I just regret not learning relic either. Fear of letting down my team held me back from what looks like a lot of fun

People want to complete it quickly, I mean plus, Imma titan, they want me to Pop bubbles, and they don't like have to wait while someone screws up.

I ran sword literally just there for the first time on hard. Having a ghorn meant I could down the swordbearer myself and I didn't have to rely on my team to do it.
