That's what I'm thinking. Probably a sharia court elsewhere told the IS forces near Tal Tamer what to do.

Yep. Depends on where they were all taken too.

All reportedly were taken near Tal Tamer, which would probably mean some small villages on the Khabor river near the city. If I had to guess, anyway.

Yeah I can't imagine they moved em very far. Hearing about the SOHR report makes me hopeful that others will be freed, but I'm keeping optimism under check.
