Arcbade was definitely nerfed. Bungie, why?
I thought it was just me. Dying super quick, taking 2 hits to kill. I asked a bunch of friends, same deal. Just checked in on tripleWreck (twitch streamer) and he's running arcblade wondering wtf is going on. So, its definitely not just me. Bungie, why? It wasn't OP.
Edit - I run all classes and like playing all characters. I just think it sucks for it to be ninja nerfed when it really doesn't need it. I'd feel the same for all supers.
Edit 2 - This isn't about me or about me being bad. I have a good kd (2.0), communicate well and usually go at least 20+ in crucible. I love both pve and pvp and I'm not an elitist. I think I'm better than average bc of the results I get.

If it's true, to be honest it was needed, and I main a bladedancer in the crucible. If it impacts PVE too it's bullshit though as arc blade was already too weak. I have yet to try it since I took a break from the game.

What was nerfed about it?

It's easy to kill a guy in arc blade. A simple shot gun then power melee is instant kill. Titans supers are known as the panic super. Any time you shot gun arc blade rpg or fusion rifle a titan coming around a corner. They survive and kill you instantly. Not overpowered just annoying. And of they have unstoppable they can absorb a golden gun shot. They need to make the super animation longer. The other supers I don't mind as I don't have a hard time killing.

1 ReplyIt was stupid. Now arc blade is useless in PVE and pvp. People just wanna ruin hunters. Thanks forum community. You're ruining the game one step at a time. First auto rifles and hand cannons. Now one of the most fun supers is ruined.

Supers don't bother me, whether it be Arc Blade, Golden Gun, Fist of Panic, Nova Bomb, Bubble, or even -blam!-ing radiance. A blade dancer rushing you? Take out your sniper and pop him in the face! LDR 5001 does 209 damage for a head shot on a blade dancing Hunter. Fist of Panic? Shoot his ass while he is in the air and melee him before he hits the ground. Golden Gun? Fusion grenades are your best friend. Bubble? Just wait, they have to.move eventually and if not have a Nova Bomb ready. Radiance? Sniper to the face does some crazy damage. Just saying. Nova Bomb? Again sniper to the face will down just about anything. See what I'm getting at? Not everyone has to play with a shot gun or a fusion rifle. Don't get so close and you can counter almost every super in the game. Not specifically targeted at OP, just from reading the comments a lot of people Call for a nerf on everything when really nothing should be nerfed.

3 RepliesI played against triple wreck last night. Wrecked him and his squad on the first match, but his 6 man premade dominated the ransoms on Venus. He was pretty good. That said, definitely easier to kill blade dancers. I can actually kill them with heavy machine guns quickly. Throwing knifes do less damage to them however, which is strange.

There was no nerf or change to the Arc class of hunters. It is still the same.. might want to watch the guns killing you. I love my hunter but 2 shot bladedancers on my titan everyday.

4 RepliesToday a Bladedancer got my Gjalli up in his face and had at least 10% of health as he slices through my warlock. I call bullshit. Bladedancers were and are still OP. Same goes with Golden Gun. Both are the easiest to get at least 2 or 3 kills.

I used arc blade a couple days ago and gave up using my super. Was getting wiped out by other supers, shotguns, fusions, shoulder charge, even a warlock melee! My arc blade kd that day was probably .5!

2 RepliesI noticed this too. It is not a massive problem, though - it just means you can't go ballistic in front of your intended victims, you need to be a bit sneakier.

2 RepliesSounds to me like this change has been needed for a while, if it's true and the Damage Resistance on all supers that had DR has been reduced then it's about -blam!-ing time. Supers are supposed to be amazing yes, but they were a little too good and needed to be taken down a notch, that's just a fact and most people agree. I don't think they needed to be nerfed much and I certainly don't support them being nerfed into uselessness, but I don't think they have been or there would have been a bigger outcry instead of the typical handful of butthurt people crying that their favorite power got nerfed (which people would cry about even if the nerf was imperceptible). The fact is that people using Supers (any Super) should absolutely not be invincible while they do so, and it's been too often the case that they were exactly that in practice, the DR needed to be nerfed and anyone who disagrees does so because they liked those powers being OP and don't value balance.
